A relatively low budget motel, about 1/2 a block from the board walk in Pacific Beach. The room we booked for the family was a bit dated, but was comfortable, and quite large, and worked out well for the 4 of us. The motel is an older one, and has not been updated, but the check in was friendly and... More

You can't beat the price for the location but this little jewel needs some fixing up. It's clean, has a great location overlooking Pacific Beach. It is surrounded by large, expensive luxury hotels but it stubbornly holds on for the benefit of those looking for a $90-$100 per night motel. There are large ceiling fans that are adequate 90% of... I think you will be pleasantly surprised after we renovate. The addition of a/c and the actual design changes will change the opinion of most. I hope you will try us again when we complete the changes. More

I love going to the beach especially Pacific Beach, SD. We selected diamond head inn. Its just steps away from the beach. A lot of foot traffic, and surfers. The room lack luster, floor had sand, damages on wall, and areas need some cleaning on doors . I always bring my own bed linen. We had to call for hand... More

Thank you for your review! I do assure you that the linens and the housekeeping do not take shortcuts when it comes to cleaning. I do admit we do need many improvements, and that is scheduled to be completed by the spring. I hope you will come and stay with us again. More

We booked this hotel on Expedia, after we had seen the photos of this property inside and out. When we arrived at this hotel, we were rerouted to another property with no explanation. The hotel we were rerouted to is the Pacific Shores Inn. HORRIBLE!!! DIRTY!!! Felt like we were in a murder movie and wondering when the drug dealer... More

I am very sorry you felt the way you did when you stayed at one of our sister properties. But, it was better than cancelling your reservation with us altogether. We understand the plans you had, and the work it takes to go on a vacation, and did not want to have to have you start these details again. We... More

People in Pacific Beach come to PARTY -- and if you're in a room on the west/northwest part of the hotel, you'll either need to be prepared to participate or get no sleep. Don't get their full or partial ocean view rooms that face west, for sure, as you'll be in the middle of a public parking lot where people... More

I'm sorry about the noise in PB, but the beach does get a little too loud at times. We do offer a person at our sister hotel if assistance is ever needed after hours when our desk is closed. We understand your concerns, and that is why we have that person available. As for the rooms, I have been told... More

Very nice room, with a small kitchen and dining area attached, including elements for cooking. The room was well appointed, very clean and tidy and had sky tv with 75 channels. Very comfortable bed, and a simple but delicious continental breakfast of coffee, orange juice and a variety of fresh pastries. There was no air conditioning, there was a floor... More

Thank you for your review. The renovation will take care of the need for a fan, and I am hoping the WiFi will finally be complimentary. But, the WiFi currently has a very strong signal and is very inexpensive. We hope to see you again soon! More

After reading many reviews of this location, we took the good with the bad. The location was spectacular! The beach was a minute walk. Walking distance to Crystal Pier(1 block), bars and restaurants. Parking was an issue, but once we found a spot on Diamond, we did not move the car the entire time we were there. It is street... More

Very nice review. I have to admit we have not spent too much time on the small items lately being that we are getting ready for a complete renovation soon. If you can figure out the parking, and you did, the rest is very comfortable. Great planning. More

Hotel itself has a great location and all but one of the staff was helpful. The internet is not free and when I asked about it they told me they had not "updated" their website yet. Overall for under $200 a night its worth it.

We really try to be competitive for the area. Most of the local hotels in the summer are priced well over $200.00 per night, and we have a special for return guests at just under that. Thank you very much for staying with us! More

If I said I enjoyed this hotel, I would be lying. The room itself was dingy, old and stale. I don't think having such a great location gives anyone the excuse not to update their rooms as the room itself is terrible. Lights not working, quilt over the bed dirty and the carpet grubby. The bathroom is unacceptable, the basin... More

Being that we have kitchens, and our location with the lower pricing for the area really attracts a lot of families to our property. Maybe we will consider a better sound barrier between the floors during our full renovation coming up soon. Thank you for staying with us! More
