This was undoubtedly the best hotel of the 10 or so we stayed at during our last visit to the US. The rooms were comfortable and a good size, the hotel had a laundry (necessary after 7 days on the road) and was very close to the Old Town - great place to spend an evening. The only downsides were:... more

I love this hotel. I used to come to San Diego on business a lot from England. I stayed in many other hotels but this was the nicest. Not formal, very laid back. Staff were great with my teen kids (13 and 18), and very respectful to us. Mexican room service staff were very friendly and helpful. Views are stunning... more

We wanted to go to Sea World and had seen they had packages. I called the hotel directly, got an excellent rate (equiv to $149/night considering it included two adult Sea World tickets and $9 off each of the kid tickets. I know 149 doesn't sound excellent, but for the area, it is. Hotel Circle is comparable and the beach... more

Stayed here with my family. Shuttle service was very unreliable, we missed several planned activities due to this. Resorted to public transportation and taxis. Staff was rude. Too many stairs, difficult for grandma and young kids. more

The staff at this hotel is extremely rude and inconsiderate. I had difficulty cancelling a reservation due to unforeseen circumstances. Not only was the staff not attentive to my needs by putting me on hold for ages, they still charged me for a night's stay! When I proceeded to straighten out the problem, the manager's only argument was that her... more

Hillside arrangement gives a very different experience. Allows for pretty landscaping and views. Fountains and flowers are wonderful. Elevators eliminate stairs if desired. Rooms are spacious. Front desk and bellstaff are excellent. Proximity to Old Town and the many dining spots is a definite plus. Breakfast in the Hacienda's Acapulco Room is not the best. It is hard for me... more

This is one of my favorite hotels, I always stay here when I visit San Diego. Close to where you want to be. Great service & ammenities. It gives you a feeling as if you were in a Hacienda in Mexico. Very comfortable suites, great views of the city. Lots of things to do near by. more

We stayed at the Hacienda for 3 nights at $149/night. The best thing about the Hacienda is its location: right in Old Town. But overall we were quite disappointed. The walls are paper-thin: we heard all our neighbors on all sides. No newspaper was delivered to the room (more on newspapers below). The pool is very small (though it does... more

Really enjoyed staying at the Hacienda - very conveniently located right in the midst of Old Town. We did a TON of research on many, many hotels, resorts, etc., and were a bit nervous once we were going to finally see our selection, but we were NOT disappointed. While we did have a "mini-suite", it did have a tad bit... more

This place was overall a great hotel. My wife and I enjoyed our stay and everyone seemed very nice. Pros and Cons are as follows: PROS: Great breakfast, which we received free with our stay. (I believe we made a special reseravtion for that) Perfect placement in Old Town. Perfect placement for all of your Old Town needs, no need... more
