We had an oceanfront room with a balcony overlooking the boardwalk. I was surprised that I could get to the neighbors sliding glass door from my balcony. Check in and check out were quick and easy. It was a nice room with a refrigerator and microwave. The bed was comfortable and the the TV worked well. The pool and hot... more

This has to be the most beautiful location to stay at in San Diego! We were steps from the beach and restaurants. We celebrated our 30th anniversary and were pleasantly surprised when we were upgraded to an oceanfront room. The room was perfect, no noise, and we had the best view of the sunset, on the privacy of our own... more

I've stayed at the Blue Sea Lodge a few times in the summer while vacationing with friends. The prices of the rooms are a little high, even considering location. The room itself is very average, nothing too special. However, its proximity to the boardwalk and the ocean is why I've stayed more than once. The hotel is located on Mission... more

If you are going to Pacific/Mission Beach you can't ask for a better location. You are right on the beach. We stayed over 4th of July weekend and were smack dab in the middle of all of the madness. Other then location it is just an average hotel, and without the location it would be below average. The hotel is... more

Stayed 3 nights here and have no issues recommending it for a family type vacation. The Good: - Stayed Wed-Fri nights, booked and paid for a Std Rm, was upgraded to a partial ocean without asking... nice. - got $150 discount for a 3 night stay through the Blue Sea Website only (... not on the BW Corp website) -... more

We have been staying at the Blue Sea Lodge for the past 18 years and are fortunate that business allows us the privilege to stay at the Blue Sea Lodge 5 or 6 times a year. As we generally stay for 10 - 14 days at each visit, the hotel accommodations and service are a high priority to us. We... more

We stay at the Blue Sea Lodge every year for a family vacation , Its an ideal spot right on the boardwalk and the beach is easy access. The kids can swim and hotub in the safety of the gates and still watch the ocean and all the fun people on the boardwalk .Gabriel Ramirez made our reservation and helped... more

Excellent location, right on the beach and boardwalk. Walking to restaurants, shopping, bars and Belmont Amusement Park. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Room and grounds were clean and well maintained. Good security. Request an outside room if you want to avoid pool noise. Only complaint is paying for parking at the hotel. more

My eighty-year-old father and eighteen-year-old and I stayed in late February while visiting USD. The Blue Sea Lodge was fantastic! So much so, that I returned for a four day stay with my sixteen-year-old daughter as a reward for making it through another school year. The ocean, the view, the incredibly accommodating staff, the bike rides down the boardwalk, boogie... more

I am the head of a large corporation and I stay in many hotels throughout the course of a year. Rarely Do I get to stay a my Bay-front Home in Monaco. But his hotel was quite possibly the most comfortable I have been all year. more
