I have stayed here in the past. great hotel and location. I attempted to book a room and was put on a list to be called when a room opened up for 1 night for the 4th of july (they were holding rooms for 2 night stays). they released rooms to the internet and never called to tell me. as... more

A girlfriend and I decided to make the Ivy Hotel our homebase for our "Girls Weekend" in beautiful San Diego. I was a little worried about our choice after reading some of the reviews here on Trip Advisor and some other sites. I don't generally leave reviews but felt it was a must after our trip. 1. The hotel IS... more

The Ivy Hotel is the perfect place for singles or couples that like to work and play hard. The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed and the staff is possibly the best in the business. Centrally located in the Gas Lamp District and within walking distance of the convention center and Petco Park. The roof top bar has great... more

We had won a bid for a one night stay and dinner in a silent auction so we decided to turn it into a three night weekend stay utilizing a one bedroom suite. The hotel staff are extremely polite and helpful. The hotel accomadations are nice but not up to a Four Seasons or any other top end hotel. That... more

My husband and I booked three nights at the Ivy for a weekend trip to San Diego from our home on the east coast, based on its description as a luxury boutique hotel. We arrived late in the evening on Friday and found the hotel to be very attractive and in a great location. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was... more

From the second I walked in to the hotel lobby, till the time I checked-out, all I could say was WOW! The service was amazing: friendly, responsive, and attentive. I was especially amazed at the butler service offerring to press my clothes and shine my shoes for free. Great touch! And the Hotel itself and the rooms were beautiful and... more

I thought this was a really nice hotel. I am a hard rater so a lot of other people may give it a 5. Overall everyone was incredibly nice. I did try to rooftop bar, but not the Envy club. I could see where some would complain about the noise on a Thursday night, but I slept fine. more

From the moment I arrived and was greeted by the valet, to the time it came for me to checkout and received a complimentary bottle of water provided by valet I felt like I was in an urban oasis. The services and amenities at the Ivy Hotel are first rate. The hotel personnel were courteous, accommodating, attentive and responsive. The... more

My wife booked the room much to my surprise. This is the first newer hotel we have stayed at in awhile. Our company rooms were around the corner in another hotel. We ended up holding a party for clients in the Envy Nightclub on Monday night. We had about 350 people and were amazed at the excellent service. We look... more

We were a little unsure of how the experience was going to be after reading some reviews online about the noise from the clubs. We ended up deciding to stay instead and I will have to say we were very impressed. The staff was very friendly and drew up a bubble bath after we left dinner the 1st night. The... more
