The innkeeper at the Hillcrest House is friendly and knowlegable about the area. Her B&B is extremely clean and decorated with a mix of old and new. Ann made us feel right at home as soon as we arrived. We had room (Balboa) in the cottage which was nicely decorated and the bathroom was very clean. Plenty of room for the two of us. The Guesthouse is within easy reach of the airport, old town, gaslamps quarter & Balboa park & basically anywhere else you would want to get to. Charming little B&B, well located near Balboa Park where we were visiting Museum & Okd Globe Theatre. Our room had very cool and quiet little patio perfect for a cocktail or reading. Owner very accomodating and helpful. more
