The breakfast buffet is worth the the money. It was a good start to the day and only $5 for kids. Much better than McDonald's as the buffet offers fresh fruit and egg selections. We use HGI frequently and find them reliable, clean and sophisticated. For business it is probably a good choice as the hotel is quiet and professional.... more

I booked this hotel in advance and got a fantastic rate. When I got here, Marysol at the registration desk allowed me to upgrade my room at no additional cost (I didn't know when I booked it that I would be bringing the wife and kids on this business trip). The service here is fantastic. The housekeepers all say hello... more

Stayed at this hotel as it was the host hotel for a tournament in the area. BUT it is the host hotel for numerous tournaments in the area so if you are looking for peace and quiet... good luck. Room was good, roomy, beds were too small, but the microwave and fridge in the room helped. Still, a little pricey... more

If you don't take your valuables with you when you leave, they will be stolen when you return. This has happened to several people I have met in this hotel. Be careful here. Also, one of the ladies at the front desk can be very rude. Everyone else at the front desk can be very friendly and helpful. Even more,... more

I like Hilton Garden Inns in general, the services available for the price you pay are quite a bargain. The staff at this HGI was very nice, attentive and accomodating. I would stay there again. more

Stayed here on holiday during 2007 and it was an excellent hotel. I lik ethe hotel brand and have stayed at several in the States. This one was good with lovely friendly staff, a great pool, and in a nice area. It was a bit of a drive to the beaches, but it was worth it. more

We stayed at the new Hilton Garden Inn on OceanAire in San Diego. Superb service. I am in hotels frequently with work throughout the U.S.and abroad. This hotel shocked me. Better service than I receive in a 5 star in a major city. Just great! Everyone answered questions and found answers. Service at every turn. Great! more

I wasn't disappointed by this HGI, but I wasn't wowed either. Certainly after reading some of the reviews the staff has the ability to touch some of their guests. My rooms was a suite and extremely large. There was a comfortable work station and wired internet only. The work station was at the opposite end of the very large suite,... more

We are parents of a bride who chose to have her wedding at The Castle at Mt. Woodson. She has lived in San Diego for 6 years and we live in Montana and had guests coming from Florida and Colorado. Our daughter researched this hotel and formed a bond with the manager who has catered to our every need and... more

I don't really understand all the positive fuss about this hotel. Just another mainstream business hotel along the freeway. Service was so so. Area is safe. The hotel room is relatively small, the beds are not that comfy and the bathroom door does not remain open (quite annoying but due to safety reasons so they say). All and all not... more
