As a local to San Diego, we stayed at the Marriott for a "stay-cation" over a long weekend. I was quite pleased with the value we got from this hotel. 1 night, breakfast for 2, free valet and a gas card for just over $200. The room was extremely clean, very nice decor (the bathroom in particular), comfortable bed and... More

Booked the hotel through Priceline.com for $72 USD/night. ($82.13 including all taxes and fees). Arrived at San Diego International Airport at 10:30 p.m. Took the MTS (“City Bus”), route 992 “Airport via Harbor Dr/Cruise Ship Term. (there is only one city bus route that serves the airport) The MTS bus stop is located under the escalators that lead to the... More

I found the room very comfortable and the staff quite attentive. The roof view of Petco park would be great during a baseball game. Wish they didn't charge for internet in the rooms--though the wireless in the lobby was free.

great gaslamp location close to everything, disapointing view, the bay view is really a view of petco park and omni hotel and hard rock hotel with a sliver of the bay viewable. the coronado bridge did look nice at night. Warning..no rewards points when using expedia :-( The wi fi is free in lobby but waaay too much air freshener... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Marriott Gaslamp Quarter on Christmas Day. We were very impressed with all aspects of the hotel. All the staff we encountered were so professional and friendly (Valet, Bell Boy, Front Desk, Restaurant). The room was great: clean, spacious, king sized bed, etc. The Altitude Sky Lounge on the roof was closed (in view... More

Stayed an overnight during the holidays and used points for the stay. Great Place...Awesome roof top lounge....Altitude. Room a bit small for the 4 of us but short stay not that big of a deal. Workout room adequate and view awesome!! Walking distance to 5th Street shops and the best breakfast place...THE BROKEN YOLK....just right around the corner....don't miss it.... More

Having been pampered by 5 star hotels in Asia, I had to adjust my expectations for the Mariott Gaslamp. It does not come with a minifridge, bedroom slippers and shower caps are provided only upon request and there is no kettle for boiling water (tho the coffee maker in the room can double up as one). However, the beds are... More

I traveled to San Diego for business for a short stay in mid-December. I actually chose this hotel because it was the least expensive hotel in walking distance to where I was working. I was not disappointed. Its location in the Gaslamp quarter right next to Petco Park and its convenience to both a light rail station and the convention... More

What's GREAT about this hotel? The location and the rooftop lounge- Both are fantastic. What about everything else- average or worse. The service, actually was poor. The front desk staff seemed uninterested in helping with anything. There appeared to be no bellman, as the entire time I was there I saw every guest have to lug their own luggage upstairs.... More
