If you are looking for something unconventional in lodging in San Diego, Dockside Yachts is it. (It is worth noting to anyone who has stayed in other Bed and Breakfast lodging, this is not your typical B&B. That's the appeal.) My wife and I are certainly landlubbers and have stayed at a range of hotels and B&B's on other trips,... More

If you like boats and seabirds and the whole marina thing, this is for you. If you just want a change from the normal big hotel scene, also for you. Our family of four got a lot out of this experience. Boat (the bigger one) beautifully fitted out, excellent Tempur beds, and a perfect little protected sun trap on the... More

My husband and I just returned from our four night stay on the Narnie O'Shea. We booked the rest of the family really close by in the Best Western at the Shelter Island Marina, this made for an awesome family trip. We loved the accommodations and the bed was extremely comfortable. There was enough room to have the family aboard... More

We stayed for 7 nights on the Pura Vida and found it the most relaxing way to enjoy a place to stay anywhere. My wife and I had a 47 foot yacht to ourselves, no one knocking on door saying housekeeping, full kitchen, coffee, drinks, food on our own deck, fantastic views, come and go as we pleased. Chaluim was... More

Narnie O'Shea was our home for four nights at the end of a month's holiday and it was the highlight of our trip. What a great time we had in this novel hotel on the water exhibiting the most georgous sunsets. We slept like lambs and in the mornings, took our coffee up to the cockpit, just like in the... More

We booked this as an alternative to the usual hotel stay, we are always looking for something different to sterile hotels. I can't tell you how much we enjoyed this, from the first moment of arriving to the sad moment we are leaving to catch our flight. We had four wonderful nights on Pura Vita and we wish we could... So my husband & I were looking for a fun place to stay for our shared birthday. We came across this on trip advisor and couldn't be more thrilled with our accommodation's on the Narnie O'Shea. The sail boat was first class and Chalium was a great host. We are looking forward to another stay!

We recently spent 5 nights on the Narnie O'Shea and it was a wonderful experience. I am so happy I found it here on tripadvisor. Chalium was a great host and the yacht and marina were just as the wesbite photo's show - awesome. While it is fun to stay on a yacht, the hotel and marina ammenities really make... More

The owner, Chaluim, does everything to make your stay exceptional in these beautiful boats. The boat we stayed on, Pura Vida, was indulgent and really comfortable with all the luxury and home comforts we could want. We felt a million dollars staying here and just soooo relaxed. Wish we didn't have to leave....

When travelling we try to make our accommodations part of the experience. This usually means trying a new B&B, but while browsing TripAdvisor I stumbled across the reviews for Dockside Yacht Lodging. Three romantic nights sipping a glass of Makers Mark on the deck of a sailboat while watching the full moon rise over the bay? We were hooked! We... More
