This hotel is well located at the end of Old Town. It is an easy walk to the MTS trolley and buses ($5 day trip) and all the attractions. The hotel's staff are friendly especially housekeeping. The breakfast staff are also very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast includes several varieties of eggs, waffles, fruit, yogurt, muffins and bagels. There is ample... More

Located very close to the Old Town of San Diego it is a prime Location. The room could have been cleaner, but was ok. Although I5 is very Close, the room was quiet. The Hotel appeared a bit sloppy-administrated: the fountains (seen o the Homepage) were empty, and some stuff seemed to be in need of repair (doors, fountais etc.).... More

Located on the inland side of Interstate 5, this Fairfield Inn is within walking distance of Old Town San Diego, a collection of historical sites, shops, and restaurants. At the north end of Old Town is the Trolley (Light Rail) and bus station. Take the Trolley to Seaport Village and the Gaslamp Quarter; it is sooo easy. The hotel is... More

I was in town for business and this location had a free shuttle to the airport. Once I told the hotel of my issues they did say they were sorry and give me a $25 credit. They did something. Overall the location was nice. The gym had new equipment and a nice TV to watch. It is open 24/7. I... More

The room was clean, quiet and has plenty of space. The hotel is close to restaurants and within walking distance to all the transportation you need to see San Diego. The breakfast was good, but get there early. It was very busy after the first hour.

Location is fabulous. Walking distance to Old Town and just minutes to the airport. Rooms are nice with microwave and frig. The breakfast is great - waffles 2 types, eggs and egg whites, ham or sausage, oatmeal with toppings, cereal, yogurt, bagels. I wish they had 1 more waffle maker as the line can get long. The ladies in the... More

This hotel is well located for walking into Old Town. It is also an easy drive to the USS Midway or various beaches. We had a large family group so we found the large patio spaces to be great gathering locations. The beds are comfortable, and the rooms and public areas seem to be recently refurbished. The ground floor rooms... More

We stayed at Fairfield while attending the Albion soccer tournament. The hotel is located within walking distance of Old Town and all of the restaurants, bars, and shops. The rooms are clean and comfortable with free wifi and breakfast ( eggs, sausage, waffles, bagels, yogurt, etc). They advertise "free parking" but whe we arrived we were told the free parking... We like to stay in Old Town since it's a nice little walkable part of San Diego and not too far from downtown. Especially easy to get downtown with the trolley, or a quick drive. We love the Old Town Mexican Cafe and the bar at the Cosmopolitan Hotel, both are must do's when we visit Old Town. The Farifield... More

We decided to stay here at the last minute on a return trip home from Mexico. The hotel is pretty centrally located, only 10 minutes' drive from Seaport Village, and not too far from the Gas Lamp. The hotel is clean. There is a nice breakfast bar, (which on the day we stayed served eggs, omelettes, ham, waffles, cereal, coffee,... More
