DO NOT STAY HERE!!! We checked in late Thursday night. The staff was very friendly but that is about as positive as this post will become. Once we entered our room (with city view … which was actually looking straight into another building, with no real city view) we found that the room was not up to W Hotels standards... More

Had a great time at my recent stay at the W San Diego. The rooms are very new, standard for the newer W Hotels that I've stayed at. The service was great, valet was very helpful, the staff was very accommodating. We ate dinner in the lobby bar and the food was fantastic, not to mention that they had live... More

We had a bachelorette party for 16 women and we all stayed at the W. The moment we arrived until our departure we had a great stay. We pulled right up front and within seconds our car was safely parked. The lobby has a super cool vibe. We got our room and it was perfect. The beds were comfy, the... More

Stayed here for business. The location is sketchy with a jail around the corner and bail bond establishments all around. The hotel is just ok, the rooms were big for a W hotel. Probably wouldn't stay in that area next time.

All in 1 spot, you get to dress casul, put your feet in the sand, drink and dance to the great music right in the middle of downtown. I haven't stayed in the hotel but I'm assuming it's great by just walking around the lobby, etc.

My wife and I have stayed at several W Hotels and have always been impressed by the excellent customer service we receive. The W San Diego was no different. When we checked in, the smiling Alyssa at the front desk took note that we were in town celebrating my wifes 40th birthday. When we came home from a night out... More

We decided to celebrate my wife's 30th birthday at the W hotel in San Diego with 25 close family and friends. I called a week in advance to setup dinner for 6 people at their Kelvin restaurant before meeting the rest of our guests on the rooftop bar. I will break this review into customer service, ambiance and likelihood of... More

We stayed a week at this hotel. They open doors, have ice water with fruit and rice crispy squares at the front door. The hotel is secure. You get a card that you need to use not only for your door, but to gain access to your room floor in the elevator. A plus. The rooms are clean. They look... More

Other reviewers mentioned service above and beyond - this was not my experience. This was my first hotel visit ever in 500+ stay nights that the front desk pitched a higher floor room as an upgrade. Flip-side - texting the bell desk promptly had vehicle ready curbside in every instance. Parking added about 25% extra cost to my stay.

Hi Doug, I'm sorry to note you didn't enjoy your stay with us. We do everything we can do upgrade our guests when they are available. If we have none available, our higher floor rooms have better views and aren't interrupted by the noise from the street below. I hope you found our talent helpful and friendly throughout your stay.... More

If you want cool... any W hotel is the best choice. The room we got was awesome. The location of the hotel is ok. San Diego is one of my favorite cities. Staff was wonderful. Only thing I dont get... wi-fi and parking isn't free. When you're paying the amount of money that these hotels cost you should at least... More
