Fantastic location in the heart of the Gaslamp quarter, rooms dated but ok at a glance. Noticed in the daylight the next day that the bedsheets were very dirty...cheap and central but definitely worth paying a little extra to stay at Hardrock or Andaz instead.

Location is its saving grace. Rooms are small. Air conditioning is very noisy. The elevator is a 100 years old and dangerous.

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel when we visited San Diego. It has been purchased by Ramada, but still remains a boutique style hotel.
