We stayd at Westin during a big reconstruction period. I must really advise to wait until this is over. A lot of noise, no serious restaurant available. Very high prices at the front desk breakfast bar.

Here for a conference. Well-appointed hotel with helpful staff. However the thing that really grates is the concept of charging (like a wounded bull it has to be said) for in room wifi. If a small $60 motel in Susanville can provide this for free, I see no reason at all why this shouldn't be the case in a hotel... More

We spent three nights from May 12 -14 celebrating our 40th anniversary. We were able to check in early, with an upgrade to the 16th floor, very accommodating staff, especially Raquel. Typical Westin Hotel. Comfortable beds. Renovation being done while there including painting and tile work around elevators and outside. Did like the renovated room. Good location in the Gaslamp area. Next to the Horton Plaza (outdoor mall). Many, many restaurants within walking distance. I wanted to stay an extra night after the conference but the room rate doubled.

Great room, fridge and coffee-maker. But there is inadequate soundproofing. We spent ten nights with earplugs on. Very annoying.

Martin and Danielle checked us in so fast. And they tried to give us a free dinner at the new Pinzimini. We couldn't take advantage of the dinner because we had too many in our party for their trial run dinner. But thanks. Sometimes check-in feels like I am buying a car.

Our room smelled nasty. I thought it is a non-smoking hotel! The shower tile has mold. It is just an ugly bedroom.
