Great access to Old Towne and the light rail. My room was clean and nice. However, it rarely rains in San Diego, and unfortunately it rained during my stay. So, why would they put me in a room across the courtyard forcing me to walk in the rain?! There's no way they were sold out.

We are in town for one day and we always stay with Marriott for the points and this place is just beat up and it smells really bad like that deodorizer they use but this is 100 times worse. There is a hole in the wall where it looks like someone's fist went through it. Even the front of the... More

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I chose mainly because of the location. If you are a fan of old town san diego and a much quieter enviroment than the PB then this is the one for you. A walking distance for many authentic restaurants. Parking was not free but you can always find a spot in the street... More

First, let's disperse with the bad. Yes, the hotel is dated, but clean. Yes, they have a small outdoor only pool, but they also have a hot tub. No, the price does not include breakfast. There is a "restaurant" on the premise, but it is pretty salty in price. Yes, you can get a room on the freeway side, but... More

It is a nice, clean, modern, well-priced hotel that has a very pleasant atmosphere. It is right next to the freeway and many rooms overlook that, but it did not end up bothering me much. If you are bothered by that kind of thing or a very light sleeper, you might request a room in another part of the building.... More

Pros: This hotel is right next to the Historic Old Town action and the building from outside has the same look and feel. History buffs may like it. The staff are very nice and helpful. Fridge in the room. Free wifi. Clean rooms and comfy beds. Cons: The hallways and my room had a strange smell - old carpet? Cleaning... More

We stayed here in July, and thought the location and facilities were pleasant enough to book here again. This time our room is on the freeway side, and the droning of the traffic is dreadful. Two other notable observations: the toilet is curiously low, almost as if from a grade school; light from the hallway is visible ALL around the... More

We visited in August 2014 when our son graduated with Hotel Co. at MCRD. Rooms were a little older than I expected but still clean and comfortable. The beds were great!!! There is no complimentary breakfast provided but there is a restaurant on site. The food is good, but prepared to sell a kidney to afford it!! During graduation weekend... More

This property is in a great location to never move you car when you go explore Old Town. The traffic is horrible on the streets of Old Town so this property allows the visitor to leave their car parked in secure, covered parking for a small charge! It's great! It offers a huge patio area that is great for you... More

While a great hotel in a nice area and close to the airport I wasnt wow'ed by anything. You will have a great night sleep and the lobby is well designed. The peeling pain on doors and smallness of the room overall won't knock you off your feet.
