Stayed for 5 nights in late June whilst attending a convention in downtown San Diego. Rate was $99 - $129 + tax (rate change in the stay) booked off the Marriott web site. Lets get the worries out of the way. This hotel is located next to a busy freeway. They do provide ear plugs - never a good sign.... more

Hotel is easy, walking distance to Old Town, 5 minutes to SeaWorld and 10 minutes to the Zoo. We enjoyed the parks during the day, then explored Old Town and sampled Old Town's restaurants in the evening. The staff was awesome! - registration desk, the room management and restaurant. Of course the registration staff were very friendly and helpful. They... more

I led a group and stayed here May 21-23 (six rooms.) We felt very welcome and all were surprised at the friendliness of the staff. Lobby is a little cramped, but sitting area is very nice, and rooms were great. Halls, rooms, and bathrooms were clean, all well-kept. Breakfast was good with cooked to order eggs, along with bacon, fruit,... more

I highly recommend this hotel! Very centrally located to everything in San Diego! We were withing walking distance to the historic Old Town neighborhood. The beaches are a short drive away, and it is very close to downtown. The only downside was parking is $12 a day, but I've become used to paying to park in most cities. This hotel... more

You know you're in trouble when you arrive and there are ear plugs on the nightstand. The prime location directly next to hwy 5 meant it felt like you were sleeping on the hwy. The rooms were no more impressive than a motel 6. I can't understand why you would stay here with so many other choices in the area.... more

We (my boyfriend and myself) stayed here two nights, Friday and Saturday. The hotel is a two block stroll from Old Town for meals and touristy things. We walked around during daytime and nightime. Nightime seemed sketchy (wouldn't walk alone) but we had no problems. The staff was vey friendly and helpful. Like everyone said the beds and pillows are... more

This hotel was clean but really stinky. The halls smelled like deviled eggs. Our toilet kept backing up and it just smelled gross the entire time--smelled really old and musty. Would not stay here again. It was loud with freeway noise too. The breakfast buffet was kind of gross to me and expensive. I thought it was FREE but I... more

We (my wife, 1 yr old son, and I) stayed here over Valentine's weekend. The hotel is about 3 blocks away from Old Town. So, if that's the part of San Diego that you'll be spending most of your time it's a fabulous location. However, you can take the trolley tour from Old Town and see many of the other... more

I just returned from a 3 day conference at the Old Town Mariott Courtyard. I had a conference rate of $159 per night for a king room. The hotel is older so there is some room noise - I could hear the guy in the room next to me coughing, and doors slamming in the hallway, but the rooms have... more

Spent seven great days in the Courtyard Old Town San Diego, from Christmas Day to New Year's Day and had a fabulous stay. The hotel is very centrally located to all that is San Diego -- beaches, Sea World, Coronado, and, of course, Old Town, just to name a few areas! In fact, it is within walking distance of all... more
