Right on the beach! Rooms are clean and spacious. Unlike some earlier reviewers, I did not experience long lines at breakfast, though space for sitting and eating there is limited at peak times on the weekend. (I just took food to my room.) Most rooms have kitchens and, for those with kids, there are suites. Good early morning birding on... More

What more can you ask for! On its own private beach, free breakfast, easy access to all San Diego has to offer - it even has a mini exchange for your convenience. Friendly staff and nice accommodations. We had a standard room right on the beachfront $85 a night. What a hidden gem - we will be back.

I stayed at the new Navy Lodge in Coronado for a week in October of 2012. What a beautiful facility. The location is great, the view from my room was fantastic. The staff were extremely helpful, courteous and pleasant. I'm really looking forward to staying there again.

The location and cost are perfect. The rooms are very spacious and most have a view of the beach. Of course, you must be affiliated with the military to stay here. My only complaint is that we had to wait for almost 30 min at the gift shop at shift change. The breakfast is healthy, but crowded and basic. This... More

My family of four stayed here very comfortably. We love the flight line noises and the beautiful deserted beach. The sand is so soft and clean. We were all alone beach-combing! The sunset was incredible! The rooms were large and very well appointed. We will definitely be back!

Front desk employees were rude and not very helpful. First time at military lodging that we were treated poorly. Booked 2 rooms and we were about as far apart as you could get. Hotel only half full but would not move us closer. Put us on second floor, no elevator and husband has trouble climbing stairs...again wouldn't change our room.... More

we absolutely loved this hotel. pool, playground and beach all right outside the door. airshow daily with the runways next door (a little loud but not too bad). we had a family suite, so were able to put our son to bed and stay up in the living room. full kitchen helped to keep the restaurant bills down!

If jet noise now and then as a Super Hornet practices touch and goes or squadrons of helicopters take off and land bother you... forget this place. But if you grew up as I did with the sound of the military then the occasional sound was sweet. Sitting out on the end of Coronado with the beach at our toes... More

We had heard such great things about this brand new lodge... Then we showed up for check in and they put us in the old lodge- with no view, old decor and bedding. It was clean, thank goodness, but very disappointing.
