We spent one night and made this our home base to trolley to downtown San Diego and Little Italy. Perfect location for that.Room 8 was spotless and nicely brought into the 21st century in the bathroom. The air conditioning was the quietest and most effective I've ever experienced in a hotel. The amenities were first class. Couldn't get the Wi-Fi... More

Unless you enjoy very rustic accommodation, this is not for you. Wifi is iffy and the breakfast is not as advertised. The room was booked less than 14 days before arrival, but the hotel refused to allow a refund of 3 of the 4 nights booked. Booking.com led us into this place (which is in a "theme park") so beware... Historical hotel. Very well done restoration, comfortable & well worth a look. Super San Diego location. Restaurant (indoor and outside patio) menu is well-priced, food is good. A.M. Continental breakfast is very fresh (scones appeared to be fresh-baked, fruit, yogurt, juice, coffee).

My wife and I went to the Cosmopolitan Hotel for our anniversary. We spent Saturday and Sunday night. The manager, Dee, is a wonderful and accommodating person. He made us feel real special on our anniversary. This hotel is located in Old Town San Diego. Lots of historical sites and shops and Mexican restaurants around here. The room was small,... More

we were in room#2, sat and read from the balcony while people watching. Hopped on the trolley and went around town, location was perfect. Had some ghostly activity in our room two of the three nights which was an added benefit. The scones in the morning were awesome each day.

We had a wonderful time at The Cosmopolitan Hotel. The staff was very pleasant, the hotel room no. 4 was spacious and very commfortable. I highly recommend this hotel. I would definitely stay there again. There are lots of nice little shops and good restaurants all centrally located.

June 27, 2014. We loved our stay at the Cosmopolitan. The location is central. We were even able to see the fire works from Sea World off the balcony. The staff is wonderful. Very friendly and willing to help. Everyone jumps in and we were surprised at the willingness to crossover and do things that weren't necessarily in their job... More

My husband and I live about thirties minutes from old town, took him to this hotel for his birthday. Loved the experience. All the furniture was from the 1800's and room number 7 that we stayed in has a huge copper tub. The room was super clean and bed slept great. We could even see the fire works from Sea... More

The rooms were gorgeous and spotless! As mentioned before, this hotel is wonderful for relaxing and having an excellent dinner in the on-site restaurant. You have to keep in mind that the hotel is part of the state park so the staff leaves in the evening and doesn't reappear until 9 am the next day. We did not have any... More
