We were greeted only with a note about where to get the key and noticed how close we were to the airport but didn't bother us too much. There was no dedicated parking, only limited street parking. When I first walked into the bathroom, there were hairs in the sink and on the commode tank which made me wonder how... More

The B and B is in the flight path of the San Diego airport, but the sounds of the planes did not bother me too much. I turned on the fan of the air conditioning unit for white noise. The location is good; easy walk to trolley or 20-30 min walk to Seaport village etc. Little Italy has fabulous restaurants.... More

When we arrived nobody was there, only a memo saying where we can get the key. The room (Il Florencia) is small, with no heating, which could be useful in winter. No possibility to take a bath, the bath plug is not working. My wife and I, we shared the only set of towels available. There was a memo in... More

My girlfriend and I stayed at The Italian for a long weekend. Upon checking in, the manager and head chef, Megan greeted us giving a full description of the bed and breakfast, things to do around town and how to get a hold of her if we needed anything. Megan was the focal point of an amazing experience. Her ability... More

The neighborhood of Little Italy is great to walk around in. We watched the sun go down over the Pacific from Point Loma Nazerine University. It overlooks Sunset Cliff Park. Very nice. This is our first morning here. We woke up to some great smells coming from the kitchen and now, just finished a great tasting, very well presented breakfast... More

Great room, immaculate and richly furnished. Well located, top class breakfast, we loved it. Make sure you don't get the room without an en-suite

I stayed 5 days. Chef ashley cooked 5 excellent breakfasts. There are 3 rooms 1 of which has a bath room down the hall. The other 2 have on-suite bathrooms. Maid service must be requested. Parking is across the street which is slightly inconvenient. The beds were comfortable. The airplane noise was possible to get use to.

I'm staying here right now - so far, so good. As other reviewers mention, Little Italy is a relatively busy area right along the airport flight path, but I live in Chicago, so the noise hasn't bothered me. If you're used to sleeping in silence, this might not be the location for you, but if you are a city dweller,... More

You really feel like you are home. The chef made us breakfast each morning that was gourmet all the way. Could have been served a little earlier but she accommodated us on our last morning as we were the only ones there. The sitting room was great with brochures, tv and homey atmosphere. Each room has a private bath but... More

Our stay in the Italian Bed and Breakfast was perfect for our visit to San Diego. The quaint house with 4 bedrooms and private baths is just a joy! It is unconventional in that most B&Bs we've stayed in were currently occupied by their owner, while this one is not. You check in with Jay at the inn across the... More
