And not a good first. I will never stay at this hotel again. First off they gave me a room which had a paper thin door connecting to the lobby. I could hear every time anyone talked or even breathed as if they were in the next room, and they were only thing separating me was a dinky door which... More

My friend and I were staying here for one night in San diego. The rooms were clean with all the essentials. The decor was very modern which is an awesome touch for this price point. When checking in, Efren was very courteous and helpful with our last minute reservation! Would definitely stay here again!

The Hotel Aqua Mar is a small boutique hotel located in Point Loma. I enjoy Point Loma over downtown San Diego, probably because I so enjoy the Sunset Cliffs! This hotel is small, so if you're looking to spread out for a week or do, this may not work for you. If you're looking for a clean, updated hotel with... More

very clean rooms and the staff was exceptionally courteous and helpful. The rooms were recently upgraded and you can tell by how clean the rooms were. However I noticed some need for hangar spaces and dressers which told me it was a work in progress. After all the upgrades these rooms should be exceptional to stay in.

Upon arriving at the hotel to check in, the front door was locked with a sign indicating that they were running around the property. I called the phone number on the sign and the young man quickly came and checked me in. There was a $15.00 early check in fee for checking in prior to the properties standard check in... More

We arrived early morning (approximately 5am)....We stopped at every hotel in San Diego near Point Loma and we couldn't find ANYTHING because of a sporting event. We were exhausted and ready for bed...We called the 1-800 number for this property and were told there was a room available....We were so relieved!!! Lina was amazing! The property was adorable and clean... More

Overal for its boutique size and closeness to everything i cant complain but the sheets and towels are always stained. The lights were never fixed in my room, and the fridge never worked the whole time and parking is like 10 spots to 50 rooms.its okay for a night or 2 but i personally wouldn't stay here again

As a hotel manager myself, I am wowed by this pristine, tiny, charming jewel box of a hotel. The owners did it right. If you just need a place to sleep and relax, look no further. Marvelous décor, clean as can be and the staff is top drawer. Thank you Efraim and Lina for your stellar customer service skills. I... More

Got to the hotel for a later check in to be informed there is no door on the bathroom. They were offing no discount, didn't fight it since it was late. Floors were dirty with Sheetrock dust, tub was filthy. Told clerk and somehow it was my fault..

Stayed one night, very basic hotel. Pay extra for room with two beds for extra space. Nice bathroom, noisy air conditioner, comfortable beds.very clean. Parking is limited. Good Location 1-2 blocks from the water, Staff friendly. OK for a brief stay but not what we would call a "boutique" hotel.
