Stayed here for 5 days for a conference, walking distance (one mile) to the conference center. I didn't need a car as I could walk to restaurants, the movie theater, shopping, the waterfront, and Balboa park. Clean spacious well decorated apartments with a full kitchen. Right down the street from the ball park if that is your thing.

I stayed at Mudville Flats while attending a conference. Excellent price for the high level of comfort. Within walking distance of the CBD. Lots of great restaurants nearby. Owners are very friendly and helpful. The room was large and beautifully furnished; kitchen and bathroom were very well equipped. Bed was the largest and most comfortable ever. One tip: Bring a... After spending hours trying to find a hotel for our first visit to San Diego, we accidentally found this place while viewing information on another hotel. The reviews and pictures quickly sold us and after spending four nights there last week we're still very happy with our choice. The rooms at Mudville Flats were neat and clean an the kitchen... Spent a wonderful week in this great little get away. Was at a conference and there's nothing better than coming "home" after a long day. The rooms were fabulous, perfectly decorated and impeccable. The kitchen was small but had all the amenities. Bathroom was spacious and the claw-foot tub is a keeper. Had breakfast on the private porch and even... More

I truly enjoyed my recent stay at Mudville Flats. The rooms have turn of the century fixtures, hardwood accents, and all the modern amenities! The bed is amazingly comfortable/cozy, the bathrooms are beautiful and clean, and the kitchen has everything you need to make your stay complete. The leather sofas and flat screen tv's just make the stay complete. The... More

This hotel was recommended by a friend and I would say it exceeded my expectations. My girlfriend and I stayed for the weekend and had an awesome time. The room was very well appointed, we loved the claw foot tub and the old world feel. It was very convenient having a kitchen in the room and seemed like a suite... More

Mudville Flats is a great option for the budget traveler, with very reasonable rates, but there are some caveats. Below, the pros and cons. Pros: +The rooms are lovely, particularly if you're into an older, Victorian feel, with surprising details. +The bed may have been the most comfortable we've ever slept on. +Location puts you very close to the Gaslamp,... Wow!! What more is there to say? I booked New Years Eve night at Mudville Flats. My intent was to stay at a nice place in downtown San Diego close to our dinner reservations and spend a romantic night ringing in the New Year with my girlfriend. What I ended up experiencing was the most romantic two nights of my... More

I stayed at Mudville Flats for a month. They offer first class amenities - the rooms are really beautifully decorated with a tasteful old-time baseball theme (but it's not overdone.) There is a nice outdoor BBQ and washer and dryer available on site, included in the price. We also had a covered parking spot across the street which is essential... More

It had been a while since I'd been to San Diego and a friend told me about this place. I stayed for 6 days and it was the perfect alternative to the normal hotel. It felt much more like my own downtown apartment than a plain room at the Hyatt or Marriott. The location was great, I'm amazed at how... More
