Had the unfortunate pleasure to stay at the Beach Haven Inn - Day Manager was very rude and condecending. I heard him making racial remarks towards a minority guest. Room was disgusting. Stained carpet - moldy bathroom. Stained bed spread. Do your self a favor and stay elsewhere. This place is nothing like the photos presented on the hotel's website. more

Nice complex of small apartments with swimming pool and laundry. We stayed in 5, using 1 bed and 2 coaches. Coaches were quite uncomfortable, the bed was very ok. Bathroom clean and fairly big, daily service. Kitchen was present althought we didn't use it. Fridge was working. Located in Pacific Beach, very close to the beach, you can walk with... more

We recently stayed at the Beach Haven Inn just after memorial day 2009. The pics on the website looked pretty good and the prices were reasonable. When we checked in, we were ignored by the arrogant manager for a good 10 minutes. Then we were told that we would have to pay an extra $20.00 per day because my kids... more

Wow, where do I start. First off my fiancee is a diabetic so we confirmed with hotel that there was a fridge in the room. When we arrived and opened the fridge it wasn't working and someone left yogurt in it that was spoiled and the smell was horrible. We went to front desk and they said they didn't have... more

We stayed in one of the suites for three nights. This was the first time in the area for my daughter, son in law, and two year old granddaughter. We were all very pleased with the location. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was very convenient especially with the little granddaughter. We used the pool and jacuzzi.... more

-My 2 1/2 year-old daughter found a half-empty box of condoms in the bedside drawer -Paint peeling in the bathroom, made for dangerous paint chips falling off the wall -After closing all the windows for the night I discovered that there was a GAS LEAK in the kitchenette. NOT GOOD for my daughter and pregnant wife! I tried calling downstairs... more

I've stayed at numerous hotels in multiple cities throughout the country, including New York, Boston, San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles, but I've never encountered worse service than the Beach Haven Inn in San Diego. Here are the facts, feel free to make your own conclusions: 1. Check-in involved an uncomfortable 20-minute interrogation with the manager about why I... more

I called the hotel and reserved two rooms connected by the kitchenette, I was very specific. The clerk gave me a conf # and told me which rooms would be ours. Upon arrival, the said no reservations. Faced with conf # and other details, they admitted error. they scrambled to find us another place for the night, We had to... more

I look forward to heading south again soon. I really enjoyed my stay at Beach Haven Inn. I live in Orange County and sometimes I like to get away for a day or two in Pacific Beach. Next time I will be staying at Beach Haven Inn because I have stayed there twice and both times, the visit was very... more
