Doubletree in Del Mar has a great pool / jacuzzi - My room was located on the first floor with a view of the pool area. Although I was here on business, I felt like I was at a resort in Hawaii. Breakfast buffet was included with the room. Restaurant is excellent! Room service was quick. Room was large, updated... more

We paid more than we wanted to when we booked this hotel. On arrival we ended up with a king size and a pull out sofa - not what we booked. We were told that thats what the booking company had ordered (after talking to them once home, they disputed this) and that they were over-booked for double-double rooms. So... more

I took my young sons (2 & 8) to Legoland and needed a place to stay for a few nights. I got a great rate with Priceline.com for this hotel which was located about 20 minutes away from the park. While it is located in a business park, there are a lot of amenities very close by including a shopping... more

Stayed here 2 nights and explored Del Mar. Great location, clean rooms, missed having a flat panel tv though. Breakfast buffet was OK, lots of choices. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again. Just a short drive down the road and you are at Torrey Pines too. Make sure you check out Solana Beach as well.... more

We were very impressed with this hotel. It was located in a very nice area and so close to the beach. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. After a long day at Sea World and the beach, our family relaxed in the hotel's very nice pool and hot tub. We will definitely stay again the next time we go... more

You can tell this hotel has changed ownership. It is the little things that are getting neglected. I still love the location and still love the hotel, the pool is the best. But it is not worth the price anymore. more

Living near LA, my family and I were originally planning to visit friends in San Diego on Saturday for a day at the beach and drive back that night. My wife suggested we make a weekend out of it. I started to look into hotels, but San Diego hotels are so overpriced on Saturday nights. We went on Priceline.com and... more

What I loved most about the hotel was the pool. It's quite large and t-shaped, so the kids tend to splash in one area, leaving plenty of room for others to swim laps or just swim lazily around the pool. There is also a jacuzzi and a kids wading pool. Plus lots of lounge chairs for relaxing. There are warm... more

I reserved a room with a king bed. Paid for the room two months in advance to get a "good" rate. When we arrived we were given a smaller room with 2 double beds. When we complained about the small room, we were told "sorry, the hotel is full." The room had a dirty stained carpet. The bathroom door was... more

August 2009 This hotel looks respectable from the outside, but don't let that fool you. We called to confirm our reservation the day before arrival and was connected to a rambling phone attendant. This "old" woman could barely enunciate English, together w/ her hostile tonation gave us a real laugh. When we repeatedly asked her to transfer our call to... more
