I was planning a one week vacation to San Diego for me and my husband, but did not want to spend to much on the hotel, as our buget was limited. I did some research and I was able to find a great rate for this hotel, but only for the first three nights, after that it would be almost... more

Our Family stayed at Humphreys June 27 through July 1. My husband and I along with our two children and their friends stayed at this wonderful hotel. We had previously stayed at a new hotel downtown attending a conference June 25 and 26. While the new hotel was beautiful it was extremely expensive and ultimately not as kid friendly as... more

My husband and I spent one night on June 20, 2009 to celebrate our anniversary with the "Enchanted Evening" package. We had a lovely time. The front desk staff were wonderful. We loved the beautiful landscaping and marina views. Good pool bar with a great bartender!! All staff members that we encountered were helpful; pleasant and efficient. We will definitely... more

We read mixed review about Humprhey and did not know what to expect. We requested a room not in building A (Building A is near the concert area). We also wanted a newly remodeled suite. Prior to our visit, Humphrey was nice enough to send us an email to inform us that the suites are not in bldg A, however,... more

Very old property and room had not been updated. Overpriced for what we got. Only bright spot was pool bartender. Resteraunt had food that looked nice but tasted very average and we got pretty poor service, i.e. overcharged, did not bring meals at the same time, forgot salad, etc. Many nicer places to stay for the same money. more

We had the most horrific experience of are lives here. An intruder came into our room while we slept. My girlfriend awoke and screamed and he fled out the patio door. The hotel tried to cover it up. We had to call the police and report it. A nightmare.I have stayed here prior for concerts and had no problems. I... more

First I would like to say that we take the safety and security of our guests very seriously. This incident is isolated and not indicative of the security of our hotel or the Shelter Island area. Our security officer responded immediately but did not find an intruder anywhere in the area or any sign of a break in. He did...

Stayed in a junior suite which was roomy. There's a mini-fridge, a microwave, coffeemaker and two TVs. The bed is kind of separated from the sitting area. The only thing was the balcony's view was partially blocked by a palm tree. The bartenders in the lounge were very nice and friendly. There was music on the two nights we were... more

I'm sitting here listening to a band playing Stones and disco covers. It's 10 p.m. Tuesday night. I have an 8 a.m. meeting tomorrow. This is a poor place to stay if you are in the area for work. Probably rocks if you want to party. Sucks if you need your sleep. This insult added to extra charges for internet... more

We stayed in Room 108 of this hotel for one night on Saturday, May 23rd. The staff all seemed to have their noses in the air, like badly trained employees at a very posh hotel (which of course, expect their people to be gracious and accommodating to guests). The "Ritz" attitude was terribly at odds with the level of service... more

I am truly sorry that this guest did not have an enjoyable experience during their stay. Upon several inspections this room DOES NOT have carpet mites. Our hotel is on the water and where there is water there is bound to be insects once in a while. Since the guest did not inform us as soon as she noticed these...
