Having found the PadreTrail Inn in the AAA approved listing I booked into this motel in spite of some negative reviews. I am unable to understand their experience. Our experience was just fine. This is an older type of a hotel but I found their customer service to be great and there's lots of things to do in the neighbourhood. A decent Mexican restaurant is across the street; and the hotel is easy to get to via Interstate. more

The Padre Trail Inn was a very average low-end motel with 1970s fixtures and a dirty pool, but decent bedding and otherwise clean. Would have been fine for $75/night, but their summer $150 rate was extreme. Otherwise, staff was nice and location was close to the center of Old Town. more
