Overall the resort is very run down, rotting wood, peeling paint, spider webs and grounds are littered with trash. We could not wait to get home. Overpriced for what you get. Pools dirty and light comes into room. Jackhammering at 8am outside our room. Very disappointed was supposed to be a fun family vacation. Don't waste your $$$. 😁

I love trip advisor because we the travelling guest get to share so many hidden elements for fellow travelers to know about ahead of time and to also give to the GM and exec team i.e. hospitality leadership provider something concrete to review and improve on. Traveler beware: Paradise Lost is you ask me and here's why: Last week I... More

I check in to paradise point on July 20. Jaquelin at the front desk was amazing. The resort was amazing until I got to my room. First my refrigerator was not working I had them come in twice to try to get it fix until Daniel( I believe that was his name) switch it and got us a new one.... More

We could have stayed at a nicer place for the same money! Should be noted that this is the Place my sister got married six years ago and was a very nice resort then. the start of this trip began with the $24 resort fee (which we expected to pay) then they add on $34 for parking each day. the... We enjoyed a long weekend in San Diego staying at the Paradise Point Resort. Bungalow style rooms with garden views. Rooms was basic, but nicely furnished with a king bed and pull-out sofa bed. Three of us were very comfortable in the room. There are 5 different pool areas. The main pool is a lot of fun for families and... More

Overall we love this resort. We are usually here once a year for a mixture of business and pleasure. The grounds are beautiful and the amenities are nice. It's a very large resort on an island so there are great water views from the Barefoot Bar and Grill. We usually eat most of meals there and the food is good.... More

Just spent a weekend there from Sat 7/19/14 to Sunday 7/20/14. The resort is beautiful at first sight: manicured lawns, ponds, pools, private beach by the bay...The place was pretty busy upon arrival because there were 2 weddings going on. it didn't take us too long to check in. I also appreciated the welcoming staff. However, I really didn't appreciate... More

All of the staff was very friendly and the food was great. The pool areas were very clean & relaxing. Awesome place to come just for couples... More

The ONLY positive was the nice staff. They were very nice and willing to help. Everyone that entered was greeted. BUT, The property was old, dungy, outdated, gross and grimy. I Would never reccomend this property to anyone. Not worth the money for what you get.

We appreciate you taking the time to write a review of your recent stay with us. Though our San Diego resort recently celebrated its 50th anniversary and makes a point to preserve its historic components, significant renovations and other improvements have been made throughout the years. These updates, along with the friendly, helpful service you mentioned have earned the hotel... More

We stayed at Paradise Point for a long weekend while visiting our son who is stationed at Camp Pendleton. My husband had stayed here as a kid in the '60's when it was Vacation Village. We liked the hotel a lot. Some of the reviews had me concerned that the resort was a bit dated and in need of renovations.... More
