We honeymooned here 40 years ago in 1974 and came back here to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary in June 2014. The only major changes we found were in the restaurants. When we checked in we were offered an upgrade to a bayside cottage which we did not accept. The front desk person upgraded us anyway at no additional charge... More

We just got back from a very relaxing stay during the long Memorial Day Weekend. We had a very good time. I remember when this resort was first built back in the 60's when it was called Vacation Village, so it's a little older and starting to show it's age in some areas. But overall, we felt that this was... More

Motel 6 quality at Marriott Prices. I can not recommend this hotel. When you plug your cell phone into a wall outlet the adapter shouldn't fall back out. The Heat/AC should operate quietly enough that you do not have to turn it off at night.

The positives: this is a beautiful island, and the resort has waterfront rooms surrounding the bay. The staff is friendly and helpful. There are many opportunities for watersports, jogging, etc. Wifi is free. The negatives: even though it looks like the rooms have been updated in the recent past, it doesn't hide the fact that the property is old. The... More

This is my 3rd stay here while attending a conference on the grounds. The rooms are comfortable and roomy. The grounds are amazing and there are several opportunities for activities such as renting a cruiser bike, boating and of course swimming. This stay in particular was extremely nice due to the accomodating and friendly staff. Upon arrival my original room... More

This is a beautiful place, lush vegetation and terrific landscaping around the buildings and pools do make you feel like you've landed in paradise on arrival. If that tropical vacation feel without leaving the country is what you are wanting most, this is a great place and we thoroughly enjoyed our lagoon location with endlessly entertaining bird life; herons, gulls,... My friend and I stayed here for 3 nights at the end of our vacation. We were pleasantly surprised when we entered the room - plush beds and pillows, plenty of towels and very clean. It was nice having a patio too. The adult pool was great, except for the ducks that kept landing and swimming in it!

This is an interesting hotel. The rooms are located in bungalows throughout the property. Each bungalow has multiple rooms. Each room has its own private entrance and each room has its own parking spot. Although the rooms are in need of a desperate makeover, the rooms are comfortable and adequate. Water pressure is lousy, so be aware. There are pools,... More

ViennaLover, thank you for the detailed review of Paradise Point. As your review states, our resort’s bungalow-style accommodations make it quite unique. It sounds like you were able to enjoy our tropical setting in addition to the resort’s five dining outlets. We appreciate the comments regarding the guestroom and water pressure, as we are always looking for ways to improve... More

We are here for a three night stay at the end of our road trip down the SoCal coast. We splurged for a bay view bungalow. I can't say anything bad about the service. Everyone is friendly and attentive. Service aside, this is not really a four star resort. The rooms are in need of a down-to-the -studs renovation and... More

We visited for 5 nights and had a wonderful experience. We reserved a garden bungalow suite which was clean, spacious & very nice. We asked if we could upgrade to a bayside bungalow suite which we were told were sold out that night, but could move the next day. We were not charged for the upgrade and enjoyed four fun... More
