The grounds were beautiful. And our kids loved the pool. The food was very expensive, but really good. Our room, however, was tiny, outdated and musty smelling....more like a motel. Within 15 minutes of being in the room our children's feet turned black. Absolutely disgusting. The shower curtain also had mold spots on it and the beds/pillows were horrible. The... more

Here's a brief list of the things you must pay for in addition to the room charges: internet ($10/day/computer), parking ($25/day), poorly-equipped gym ($12/day/person), 3.50 per cup of coffee at kiosk (no maker in room). There is, however, a small bar fridge in the room. So you can manage a cold breakfast without having to pay through the nose at... more

I hosted out-of-town guests at Paradise Point Resort this weekend. As a local resident, I highly recommend this hotel. The service staff members throughout the resort are excellent! My friends thought the room accommodations were lovely. The bathroom had been remodeled. The carpet and furnishings were clean and attractive. In the evening, the resort roads are lined with tiki-torches. The... more

I booked paradise point through travelzoo special and got a basic room with two queen beds and upgraded was available for $50 dollar for better view instead of my parking space. I didn't upgrade the room due to the fact we were only staying there for one night. The resort is ideal for family who travel with car--the parking is... more

The reviews here are correct. I unfortunately got this room via priceline. When I checked in, I asked for a clean room, and was given instead their usual worst offering for priceline customers. The carpets were both stained and dirty and the bathroom had bugs and the paint was peeling in the stained tub. I was too exhausted so I... more

Booked one bedroom bungalow ($500 for three nights) that turned out to be on lake/pond. Kids enjoyed feeding ducks - I didn't enjoy avoiding what came out the other end of the ducks. I appreciate the fact that the rooms are due for an upgrade, however, the standard was very poor. Bathroom needed demolishing - paint was poor standard, bath... more

we had a relaxing time at the resort. This time of year not very crowded. The room was a beachfront suite with a nice view of Mission Bay.The room was clean but could use some upgrading in the bath area.25.00 for parking seemed like a lot of money more

If you go here hoping for a clean, serene, resort-like atmosphere you will be sorely disappointed. It felt like a campground. The pictures on their web-site are highly misleading. The room's are old and dirty. The furniture is cheap and worn. The room's air conditioning unit was loud and rattling. The bed was uncomfortable and the bedding was old and... more

We splurged and spent extra to have a room on the water. It was so worth it! We woke every morning to a beautiful view and just steps away from the beach. It was great to take a cup of coffee and watch the crew teams practice and enjoy the peace. Then, in the evenings, sat in our chairs and... more

Had a great stay at this resort. I had read some bad reviews, so i was actually on guard. But our room was great. Freshly painted, great carpeting. Everything one could expect. We did joke that the paint was peeling off the furniture, but it was "antiqued" and in perfect condition. The only negative is that they chrge you 25.00... more
