Wow, what a wonderful and relaxing stay. We went to celebrate our 20th anniversary and Ben & Doug made it our best anniversary yet. I have never stayed at a Bed & Breakfast before, I was afraid it would be like staying in a strangers house, WRONG. We felt right at home. They were more than willing to help us... more

My husband and I went to San Diego for our 2 years anniversary and the Keating house was our first B&B experience. I can say that we haven't been disappointed at all... The house is spacious, with a nice front yard and a big back yard full of beautiful flowers. We had the aqua room with our private entrance on... more

We choose this BandB based on its location and amenities. Doug and Ben provide a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of Downtown. Even though parking is at a premium, guests are provided the opportunity to park in the narrow drive overnight ( we twice took advantage of this option). Breakfasts are delicious and include fresh fruit , homemade... more

We just returned from a great vacation in San Diego and our stay at this B&B. Location was within walking distance of Balboa Park, the zoo, Little Italy, and the waterfront. Very quiet, not the hustle and bustle of staying right in the city. I felt very safe walking in Balboa Park in the early morning hours. We stayed in... more

the hosts are very kind are welcome you with a smile and a list of restaurants to go to. the brekfast are home made and you are woken up by the smell of home made bread. The only thing is to bring a mask for the eyes to sleep because there is a lot of light in the morning. more

We stayed at the Keating House and had the best experience. The owners are friendly and informative, although we used to live in San Diego, so we didn't need too much guidance. We stayed in the Music Room which was downstairs and even when people were in the dining room for breakfast (which was great BTW), the walls are so... more

We spent two comfortable nights at the Keating House. We were welcomed by the friendly owner with a comprehensive conversation about the inn and the activities in the area. We had a very comfortable room and enjoy our breakfast. The airplane noise was not a problem as suggested by another reviewer. It was not that loud; I am a light... more

We were in San Diego recently for a convention and stayed in the yellow room at the Keating House. The house is lovely with bright colors, high ceilings, and comfortable furniture. The hosts, Doug and Ben, provided useful information for seeing the sights. They gave great recommendations for restaurants; we didn't have a bad meal while we were in San... more

This house is amazing, I felt as if I should be wearing a crinoline. Ben and Doug the owners made us feel so welcome. The welcome talk and overview of the area was very informative and most helpful. We stayed in the 'music room' which had a beautiful iron four poster bed. The bathroom was perfectly finished with period shower... more

The Keating House is in a pleasant neighborhood, very near Balboa Park, downtown, and the airport. The Inn is very comfortable, very clean, and the breakfasts, which are served in the lovely dining room, are gourmet. The innkeepers are very friendly and most accommodating. They even make a great pot of tea. I can't believe someone wrote a review about... more
