We are definitely coming back!! The cottages are amazing. We were in number 7, south facing. Breakfast on our patio every morning watching the sunrise was one of the best experiences. My husband surfed and I got some sun!!!

We stayed in the suite above the office. It had the most beautiful view and it was super private. The only drawbacks were the bed was extremely hard and the boardwalk/ bar noise filters up to the room all day and into the wee hours of the morning. The overall experience was lovely and all had a good time on... More

I surprised my hubby with a return visit to Crystal Pier for our anniversary. The price is quite dear and you have to pre-plan big time if you want to get in during the summer. Our stay in the beginning of March was $280 a night for Cottage D. This is the best location in our minds! Especially private and... More

Staying in one of their cottages on the pier in Pacific Beach was one of the best vacation experiences we've had. You are right over the ocean and the views are spectacular. We enjoyed watching all of the surfers and sea birds and listening to the surf out on the deck. We loved the 2-bedroom, 2-bath cottage with kitchen we... More

My husband, boys (9 and 11) stayed here for only one night and that wasn't enough time to get the full experience of life on the pier. We checked in as the sun was going down and unfortunately, by the time we'd eaten our breakfast at Kono's it was time to check out. If you want the whole experience of... More

I have been staying at the Crystal Pier for 25 years and have lost count of the number of times I have been a guest there. Last week I returned from my umpteenth visit. If you don't mind a clean, cute, older cottage with a shower, no tub, no luxury touches, then you are in for a treat. A well-equipped... More

I saw these cottages years ago and had tried several time to get reservations but sadly they were always booked (months/years in advance). However, this Jan. I got lucky and obtained reservations for a two day (mid week) stay. I reserved Cottage A and couldn't have been happier! It was clean, cozy, comfortable and with a sunset view to die... More

A group of 4 women rented cottage #2 for an annual get together. The cottage was on the N side and really was fine. Some sun in the am when we had coffee in the am. $420 each night in non summer season. We booked it in Oct. of 2014. It was bigger than we thought it was going to... More

I am in love with Crystal Pier. I would leave my husband if I could live here. We stayed in cottage B, which I highly recommend. It is the last cottage closest to the ocean. It was completely private, except for the seagulls that visited. You have a nice deck area with a couple of chaise lounges and a table... More

There are two different aspects to this place - its location and its cottage. The location on the pier is 4 stars, the actual cottage is more like 3. We were here the first weekend of January and chose a 1 bedroom cottage toward the end of the pier. When you drive on, of course the reaction from adults and... More
