The cottages are beautiful. We stayed in cottage 19 which is two bedrooms and plenty of room for our family of five. The ocean was below and we could watch the sunset each night. The pier is very busy in the day but after sunset the gate is locked to pedestrians and i felt safe each night. The beds were... More

There is nothing like staying in the cottages on the pier! So peaceful and relaxing. Once we parked we never drove again. Riding bikes around the bay was a great way to explore. Be sure to try the breakfast at Kono's!

We needed a 2 bdrm cottage (with futon in the living room is addition to the 2 bdrms) to accommodate our family of 6. Cottage 22 is not yet on the website map. It's the first cottage on the right when you enter the Pier. It's on the pier, but at the base. The surf does not come up that... More

Stayed in cottage 6 for the first night and originally booked cottage 23. Great views, loved waking up to the sound of the ocean. Perfect for families. We rarely took our car out and walked everywhere

We are definitely coming back!! The cottages are amazing. We were in number 7, south facing. Breakfast on our patio every morning watching the sunrise was one of the best experiences. My husband surfed and I got some sun!!!

We stayed in the suite above the office. It had the most beautiful view and it was super private. The only drawbacks were the bed was extremely hard and the boardwalk/ bar noise filters up to the room all day and into the wee hours of the morning. The overall experience was lovely and all had a good time on... More

I surprised my hubby with a return visit to Crystal Pier for our anniversary. The price is quite dear and you have to pre-plan big time if you want to get in during the summer. Our stay in the beginning of March was $280 a night for Cottage D. This is the best location in our minds! Especially private and... More

Staying in one of their cottages on the pier in Pacific Beach was one of the best vacation experiences we've had. You are right over the ocean and the views are spectacular. We enjoyed watching all of the surfers and sea birds and listening to the surf out on the deck. We loved the 2-bedroom, 2-bath cottage with kitchen we... More

My husband, boys (9 and 11) stayed here for only one night and that wasn't enough time to get the full experience of life on the pier. We checked in as the sun was going down and unfortunately, by the time we'd eaten our breakfast at Kono's it was time to check out. If you want the whole experience of... More

I have been staying at the Crystal Pier for 25 years and have lost count of the number of times I have been a guest there. Last week I returned from my umpteenth visit. If you don't mind a clean, cute, older cottage with a shower, no tub, no luxury touches, then you are in for a treat. A well-equipped... More
