OK we live in San Diego and have always wanted to stay here ..WOW what a great idea that was!! here it goes.. PROS: 1. Right over the water . You can hear the waves crashing so calming. 2. Ocean breeze and the smell is so relaxing. 2. Private deck so you can watch everyone on the beach in comfort... More

My wife and I stayed in cottage A ar the beginning of november for our birthdays. Check-in was great. Driving on the pier all the way to our parking spot at cottage A was also unique. As we entered the private secure gate of our cottage we were stunned by the veiws. The cottage was nice perfect for a romantic... More

We visited Pacific Beach earlier in the year and stayed at the Pacific Terrace. That was a nice place but while we walked down the strand ( ocean promenade) we noticed the Crystal Pier, an historical hotel. We decided to come back and stay. We reserved cottage 20, a new two bedroom unit. It is spacious, with a large deck... More

It had been our dream to stay at Crystal Pier since we first visited California in 2011 and came across it when walking along Pacific Beach. 3 years later that dream came true and what better time than our honeymoon! The cottages along the pier are just lovely, with stunning views and you just can't beat the feeling of lying... More

Just took our family for a stay at this quaint hotel right on the Crystal Pier in San Diego. We LOVED it, it's the perfect family get away. The rooms are very beach cottagey, they are a bit dated, but we had no problem with that because the location takes over. It's so fun to have a patio right on... More

we stayed for 2 nights at the end of our trip in cottage 12, which is north facing and over the beach. The cottage is very charming but a little worn - peeling paint, rust, some dust on areas like the tops of blinds and a broken light (although I understand it must be difficult keeping on top of the... We've stayed here a couple of times. We loved the idea of sleeping over the ocean. Our first visit was just the two of us. We had a room on the pier closest to the tackle shop. It was small and quaint. Large enough for two. Our kids were small at the time and they came to join us for... More

We come to SoCal a few times a year, we always start our stay with a week in San Diego and we always base our stay on when we can get a week booked at Crystal Pier. You've got the pier, the ocean, the beach and Kono's. Whst else's could any one ask for?? Book far in advance, it's well... More

This is the 5th year we have come here for our anniversary. When we check out we reserve the same dates for the next year. It is truly great to "sleep over the ocean." The cottages are quaint with a patio in the back where you can lounge or hang out under an umbrella table. Crystal Pier is very central... More

Incredible location - great views, but beware of their reservation and cancellation policy. They immediately charge for one night when you book a cottage and they keep $50 if you need to cancel for any reason - even months before you plan to stay. Be informed and know that you'll have no flexibility!!!!!
