This is no longer a hotel, but an apartment house. Someone has already tried to correct this in the "Questions" section back in October, but to date there is no change in the listing. Too bad, I was looking to stay withing walking distance of the zoo.

This is one of the coolest places. We were living in los angeles at the time and just wanted to get away for the weekend and hit the zoo. We arrived pretty late and they waited for us, and the zoo is like across the street. This place is so quirky..i hate that word, but its perfect. Every room is... More

My wife and I booked these arrangements expecting bed and breakfast accommodations. Warm, quaint with character and appropriate facilities. Upon arrival, however, we encountered poor parking as a result of street paving. The hotel claimed they were unaware as well. That being said, they should have provided better arrangements. Our "suite" was clean and maintained, but very dated, with hot... More

So this place is very conveniently located in the center of San Diego, but still manages to feel quiet and secluded. There are number of eateries and some bars in the nearby vicinity, Gaslamp Quarter is about 10-15 minutes drive away. The zoo and is 5 minutes away by car (and Balboa park is kinda right across the street, but... More

Amazing location. Fast Responding friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again. Even recommending it as a back up hotel for my wedding. I stayed here because I had an appointment and all the other hotels I looked at were full. Gorgeous quaint room. Adorable decor. Very neat bed and breakfast. And the free breakfast was fresh and filling. Can't wait... More

This was our first time staying here and we enjoyed it. The suite was cute and felt like you were staying at your grandmother's house. The staff was very nice and everything was clean. We had a great stay and would return. FYI to future people who stay and get a suite.......don't flush the toilet while someone is in the... More

This is my husband's all time favorite inn. We have stayed here several times, usually for a special occasion like my husband's birthday or our anniversary. Every time I ask if he wants to try a new place, I get a resounding "NO!" It is a perfect location. We mostly reserve our favorite room - The Beach House. It has... More

If I could I would give Balboa Park Inn 10 stars! For all those reviews that complained about the lack of soap, you have little adventure in you soul Did you bother to look in the medicine cabinet or the cabinet below the sink. If you had you would have seen all the soap, shampoo etc. that you desired. The... More

Balboa Park Inn is one of my favorite places in the world to stay. The rooms are exquisite and each is uniquely decorated by the owner himself. It is like staying in a Manor in Europe. The hospidality is wonderful! It is a jewel that you will undoubtedly enjoy! The location is fantastic- next to my favorite world class park-... More
