This hotel is right across the street from Fenway. It is also right on Kenmore Square. Two blocks to the subway makes it an easy walk. The staff is especially kind. The hotel is over 100 years old and has lots of character. When we arrived the room that they were going to put us in was not the floor... More

The checkin was ok, think the guy was new as he didnt real know what he was doing. He didnt bother to give us the complimenty restraunt vouchers that from reading other reviews everyone else seem to get. He checked us in, sent us to our room then called a few minutes later as he had forgotten to get us... More

Was a very good stay. Walking to most of the attractions or take the subway. Walked to Fenway and Buckminster was clean and pleasant. Will stay there again. Will recommendation. Was given credit each day of our stay for eating at the restaurant.

We had a king/junior suite which was $200 for a weeknight and 300$ Sat/Sund with Triple-A (which they didnt request to see when we checked in), which had a seperate living room where our son could sleep in. We asked for a room not facing the highway which they complied with, but the room they gave us (631) was very... More

I was looking online for a hotel near the Sox game, and saw online a few reveiws on a couple of different places. One review of the Buckminster had me worried. Talking about tubed television sets, and how its 2014, come on. Well I went, in the year 2014, and my suite had two good sized flat screen televisoins!! The... More

If you're Red Sox fan that's the place for you. The stadium is just round the corner and on the game day the area becomes very lively, lots of people, bars, hot dog stands etc. really good atmosphere and fun. The hotel itself looks very interesting from outside, but it's very dated inside. The furniture in our room was very... More

I am a huge Red Sox fan who happens to live in NYS and went to see the Sox play. We weren't sure where to stay but choose this hotel because of its location and I'm glad we did. Our upgraded suite (Red Sox Nation Member) overlooked the Green Monster. This hotel has you right in the heart of the... More

If your main destination in Boston is Fenway Park, your feet will thank you given close proximity. Other than that I was unimpressed. Rooms felt dated and decor was plain. Property is a gem of a location, would be nice to see ownership upgrade as they recently did at The Boxer near TD Garden. In my view there are many... More

Stayed here for a wedding at fenway park. Arrived 10 minutes prior to check in time, a room was available and was given a complimentary upgrade to a nicer room. The front desk was very courteous and professional. The room was very clean, and had a nice view of fenway. Would definitely stay here again.

My daughter and I stayed for one night. We were in town for a Fenway event. My main concerns for a hotel room were cleanliness and reasonable price and the Buckminster gave both. Our room was upgraded from two twins to two queens, each in a separate room with common bath. The bath was teeny! We love character and the... More

Deb, Thank you for the feedback regarding your recent stay. We will review your suggestions with the management staff. I will certainly let the staff know that you appreciated their efforts. The Buckminster is not your typical hotel and you get to experience one of the oldest hotels in the city. More
