This hotel is very tired and out of date. It;s overpriced and should really be in the motel category. The free wifi was over subscribed and didn't work as too many users logged on. When we asked why the wifi wasn't working was told that this was due to an issue with iphones and there was no problem with Android.... More

If you are looking for a place to stay around Fenway Park or BU. This hotel is a short walk with very reasonable rates. Make no mistake the place is old and could really use some updating. If your not fussy you can get a big clean room for a really good rate.

Went to Boston to go to Red Sox game and see Fenway Park. Location was awesome, right across the street from Fenway. This is where the good part stops. Rooms were extremely dated and over priced. Twin beds, old furniture and TV was from late 80s. As one friend said, I bet they get a lot of one night visitors.... More

An older hotel with a young feel to it. The room and bed were comfortable. The $10 voucher for the Fenway restaurant was a bonus. The wings were awesome. The main reason for booking this hotel was that it's located next to the ballpark. I am from out of town and didn't want to deal with the transit systems. I... More

My husband and I went to go to a couple baseball games at Fenway. This hotel was in an awesome location. Central to Fenway Park and restaurants nearby. You can walk right to Fenway Park and be in the heart of everything. We were pleasantly upgraded to A king suite and they also held on to our luggage so that... More

This is a hotel built in the early 1900s but is in good shape. Some small maintenance issues in the hotel but nothing that made our stay less enjoyable. We had two separate bedrooms which was nice for a family of 4. From our window we could see Fenway Park, unfortunately the Sox were not in town. There is a... More

My daughter and I stayed at Hotel Buckminster when she was attending orientation at BU. First, the good: the location is fantastic, especially if you like the Back Bay area, are going to a Red Sox game, or have a student at BU. The green line is less than a block away and Fenway is just a couple of blocks.... More

We just spent 2 nights at this hotel. The rooms are pretty old same with the furniture, the hairdryer was not working and a lamp was broken in three pieces. The staff thought is very friendly and helpful, they tried to fix everything the best they could. The location is super, just a block away from the subway and it's... More

We stayed at the Buckminster for two nights from August 3rd to the 5th. All in all we recommend this hotel for being the cheapest nearest to downtown (at least for being of walking distance to it). Here are some things you need to know: - Our room was very clean and everything was in order. The bed was comfortable.... More

Grateful that a Boston local recommended this hotel. We were in town to look at local colleges and was thrilled that the hotel was right across from the campus of Boston University. The convenience was great and the staff could not have been more helpful. I would definitely stay here again!
