We have stayed here once before but never again. Today we had to cancel our reservation (Wednesday night before Thanksgiving) because of the weather conditions. We cannot drive from Albany, NY to Boston tonight, but the hotel Asst. Mgr., Kevin, felt he had to stick with the hotel's cancellation policy of 48 hours notice. Booking.com tried to appeal to them... More

Booked to stay at the Buckminster for a birthday treat to visit Fenway Park. Picked the hotel for its value and how close it was to Fenway. On arrival staff were efficient and polite. Room was on sixth floor - bit of an interesting lift - Room was compact but suited my purposes. Small bathroom with bath and shower. Bed... More

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Rooms are wide, clean and very comfortable. Management was so kind and gave us a free upgrade on our room. Kenmore subway station is less than a block away. The only down I could point out would be the bathroom, which looked a bit abased by time.

It's the first time I stayed at this hotel and it will certainly be the last. First, I was given a room that faces a main road and after literally one minute there I had to call reception and ask to get another one. Sadly, the experience didn't improve because in the second room I had to deal with the... More

We would definitely stay here again. Historic building (Stanford White) near the Fenway,. Our room was large. Near BU campus, Barnes and Noble, wonderful restaurants. We went for business and pleasure, had friends staying at the hotel as well. Hotel restaurant is casual, good for breakfast, sportsbar atmosphere. Small elevator, and they could update the furniture, but those are quibbles.... More

We stayed three nights here at the Buckminster. The location is great as it is very close to Fenway Park. Our room was clean and the bed comfortable. The food in the restaurant was very good too. It's an old hotel with a wonderful historical ambiance. Staff were great too.

Had a wonderful family holiday in Boston staying at this hotel. We came to see some ball games and were so happy with the location. I had requested a room with a view of Fenway and was so pleased with the room we got. The room was very large. The kids had a large seperate bedroom which fit the 3... More

Built in the early 20th century, this small hotel has very nice, clean, comfortable rooms of large size. The bathrooms are on the small size but clean, the beds comfortable, good heating/air-conditioning, but there is traffic noise from the Interstate highway below our windows. The single, small elevator and somewhat dated lobby did not give a good first impression but... More

I stayed at this hotel on a Monday night in October for $125. The room was ready and I checked in early at 2pm. They gave me a free upgrade to a 2 bedroom suite without even asking and they also give you a $10 coupon for their restaurant. The room was on the fifth floor and very quiet even... More

This hotel was a great place to stay for the price. Booked the cheapest room way in advance and was surprised when we were upgraded to a Jr King Suite upon arrival. Yes this place is older but for the price and location it was a great find. All I look for in a room is cleanliness and ease of... More
