I was charged $353.00 for a room with a queen sized bed, thrift store quality furniture, on the third floor of the hotel. the level of noise from the street traffic and people's conversations on the side walk was UNACCEPTABLE.. I was not given the option of using my AAA card for a discount. No coffee maker in the room.... More

This hotel is dated, however the room was adequate. Just around the corner from Fenway Park, it was a pleasant 20 minute walk into Boston along Newbury Street. We had a long weekend and asked at the desk if we could get tickets for an American Sports game. They sent us 100yrds up the road to Ace tickets and we... More

September 2014 my sister and I stayed for 5 days at the Hotel Buckminster in Boston. It met all of our expectations for location, safety, and price. We had a clean, comfortable room with a view of Fenway Park. Tuesday evening we attended a night game at Fenway, and the Buckminster location allowed us to be just a short (5... More

This hotel was great. The rooms are very old but are updated to suffice. We loved the views from the room and the breakfast was delicious. Nothing to complain about other than the old tiny elevator, but we only use those for taking luggage up and down. and with a building of its age this is typical. Just a great... More

Staff great. Hotel...not so much. Contrary to other experiences listed in these reviews, during my stay, the staff here was this property's only saving grace. They were friendly and helpful and even worked out an exception to hotel payment-form policy to adapt to my situation. As for the hotel.... The room was very very small, and the bathroom tiny. There... More

This hotel is quite old and some might consider the decor a little outdated but I really liked the 'old world charm'. It's located right beside Fenway Park and just down the street from a T station so it takes just a few minutes to get downtown. The reception staff were really friendly and helpful, they seemed happy to help... More

The Buckminster is an old Hotel, quirky and some modernisation, clean and comfortable. Nice position, close to Fenway Park and opposite Boston University. The walk to central Boston and the Freedom Trail is through tree lined avenues and parks for most of the journey or you can walk along the footpath which runs alongside the river close by. We had... We spent four nights at this hotel. The reception staff were extremely helpful and the rooms, although not luxurious, were comfortable and well appointed with TV, Ymicrowave and ipod dock. The beds were extremely comfortable and breakfast in the cafe/bar were really good value. I woulad recommend this hotel for a budget break in Boston.

Very nice hotel in a convenient location just outside the Kenmore subway station. Under 5 minute walk to Fenway Park. Good shopping, dining and pubs within 15 minute walk walk on Boylston or Newburyport streets. Rooms are large with small kitchenettes, original hardwood floors and renovated bathrooms... very comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to... More

The worst receptionist, unpolite and unprofessional. There is not a porter and the receptionist told us we could not use the elevator at the entrance for the baggage. In the bathroom there was no space to put our things.
