I lived in Boston for 7 years and time and time again when I am looking to come back to visit, I always check the availability at Hotel Buckminster. The rooms are clean and the staff is incredibly pleasant. The building is old, but it just adds to the charm. In the baseball off season, you cannot beat the prices,... More

Great hotel not far from Fenway park. Hoping to return this year again. Great staff, nice little bar/restaurant downstairs too. Walk up commonwealth for lots of shops. It's right in Boston Uni campus so lots of uni places open to the public especially in the arts part.

When I saw the pictures and then the price I knew something was going to be a little fishy. The room wasn't very large, quite cramped at that and the bathroom was probably the nicest part. The furniture was in poor condition and our "city view" was a great brick wall and the windows of other guests across the way.... More

Over the holidays we needed a last minute place to stay for four nights. The Hotel Buckminster had a very fair rate, and it was the only option as far as a room with two queen beds. The location was perfect! The wait staff was fantastic! We had a wonderful stay and will stay here again!

The rooms are very small and I was not expecting that from the pictures in the website when I walked in. Other than that the place is nice and clean. I'm not sure if I would stay again if I am ever in Boston.

We booked a room with two queen beds and it actually had two rooms, one with two queens and one with one queen. Both rooms had a TV and were comfortably spacious. We were given a $10 food voucher each night to the restaurant downstairs (the Fenway Grille); the food was pretty good!

We are very excited to be staying in this beautiful Boston landmark of a hotel. Friends have recommended it over the years and we are finally getting to go ourselves. Unfortunately it is not during baseball season but I trust that will not matter.

Spent a short and pleasant visit here. Well situated and within easy reach of downtown Boston. Located next door nearly to the baseball stadium of the Boston Red Sox. Spacious and tastefully decorated rooms. Good bathroom. Staff pleasant and attentive. If you are interested in jazz, the jazz greats stayed and performed there.

We stayed here for 3 nights to celebrate the New Year and had problems with a sewage smell in the room as well as the smell of pot one night. The issue was not resolved during our stay. This is an old hotel that has not been completely renovated. The walls were very thin and we could hear our neighbors... More

The location of this hotel is perfect for attending a sports event at famed Fenway Park in Boston. Only a stones throw from the stadium and all of the nearby restaurants and bars. It is also very conveniently located near the subway "T" stop on the green line. Lobby is clean, modern, welcoming. Restaurant/bar is casual and a little slow... More

Staying in Fenway / Kenmore

Neighborhood Profile
Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.
