I visited Hotel Buckminster in early March on business trip. I chose it because it was one of the cheapest rooms available in a central area convenient to Brighton. I didn't realize at the time how convenient it was to the airport via either the free Silver line or blue line as well as other areas of Boston and to... More

I chose Hotel Buckminster because of its proximity to Boston University. This was my second time there. Both times were equally good. The rooms retain the old charm but with modern conveniences. To my surprise, the hotel is a stone's throw away from Fenway Park, the underground, and many fine restaurants. Cambridge is just across the river. I will return... More

Overnight stay with the Grandkids. We were treating them to their first ever Red Sox game and chose this hotel due to the close proximity to Fenway Park. That reason and, we've stayed here a few times in the past and found it convenient to everything we wanted to do. We were able to check in a bit early which... More

My boyfriend and I needed a nice hotel to stay in whilst we were in Boston for four nights, meeting up with family. The Hotel Buckminster is excellent value for money, being half the price of many of the other decent hotels we had looked at. It is well located being minutes away from the T and right next door... We choose Hotel Buckminster because of its proximity to Fenway. It turned out to have so many other advantages as well. Yes - we could see Fenway from our room (what a great perk for these baseball fans), but it was in very close walking distance to the T, Prudential Center, and many other bars and restaurants. We followed directions... More

I've stayed here before twice. Great location and steps from the T. Had never stayed there before but am happy that I did. It's close to Fenway Park numerous bars and resturants also. Next time I go into Boston I may stay there.

We joined my in-laws for a weekend trip to see the Red Sox and the Yankees at Fenway. The location was amazing. We couldn't see the stadium from our room, but it was a super short walk. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. Ishmael, for example, helped us to find a restaurant in Little Italy, and booked us... More

This hotel is very clean. It has a lot of history and is indeed over 100 years. however, it is updated and nice. Rooms are small and have pipes running across ceiling (old fashioned sprinkler system). Elevators are slow, took stairs a lot. Grill inside had good breakfast and the hotel gave you $10 credit toward it. NO pool. 6... More

First timers, arrived early am before room was ready, staff gladly offered to store our luggage. Had a chance to speak to Manager behind desk, told her it was our 1st time staying, that we would love to have a room with a view for our 15yr old who we were treating to a BoSox game for his good grades.... So, if you take some beat-up modular furniture and a bed and put them into what must have once been a storage room, does that turn it into a real hotel room? How could these people have known that I was short enough to fit into the bathroom (ceiling 6' high at the most)? Did they pick up that furniture... More
