I would highly recommend this historic beautiful hotel. We had a suite and was very surprised with the amount of space between the two separate bedrooms, a separate living room and a hallway with closets! The staff was friendly and helpful. They tracked down an extra sitting chair for our living room as my niece and boyfriend were there also.... More

We were at the Buckminster only one night as our grandson was entered in the Crash B Indoor Rowing Event at Boston University. We were really happy with our room as they initially had us in one queen room and it was not big enough to accommodate three people. They immediately upgraded our room to a suite which had more... I almost don't want to write a review because this little gem might become too popular, and then I'll be priced out. Came to Boston for a concert last week, but didn't want to deal with the driving. The reasonable rates of this hotel - esp for Boston encouraged us to take the T and spend the night. It is... More

Our son is a freshman at Boston University so we have been at the Buckminster quite a few times over the last year and they have never disappointed us! We love the fact that it is in walking distance to my son's dorm and it is in a great location. We have been there in April 2014, July 2014, August... More

We live in Boston and wanted to feel like we were on vacation without going too far. The historic Boston Hotel Buckminster was a perfect choice all around! Location in Kenmore is so convenient to many great sights (including Fenway Park!) and restaurants at an unbeatable value. Very responsive and friendly service from the staff. Common areas and room looked... More

Stayed recently during one of their many snow events. The staff here is always welcoming, gracious and accommodating. We had to extend our stay due to weather and they were able to keep us in the same room. I just can't say enough good things about this hotel. The rates are very reasonable, the location great, the rooms comfortable. What... More

Always stay here when we have tickets to see the Red Sox. Great price, great location. The staff is amazing and very helpful! Leave your car and take the T anywhere in Boston. Right across the street from Fenway, always get top floor facing Fenway!! Love it here!

I stayed here as a cheaper alternative to a conference down the road at an expensive hotel. I think that if you are looking for a decent place to lay your head and want to save some $, especially in Boston, look no further. Is it a cool, trendy hotel? No. Is the location good. Yes. Is it much cheaper... More

Finding an affordable place to stay in Boston isn't easy. The Buckminster's location is great - right by the Kenmore T Station, near the University & a quick stroll to the Public Garden. The staff were attentive and professional. The hotel restaurant was nothing special, but it was adequate. Yes, the elevator is tiny and slow. Yes, there are some... More
