This hotel is very clean. It has a lot of history and is indeed over 100 years. however, it is updated and nice. Rooms are small and have pipes running across ceiling (old fashioned sprinkler system). Elevators are slow, took stairs a lot. Grill inside had good breakfast and the hotel gave you $10 credit toward it. NO pool. 6... More

First timers, arrived early am before room was ready, staff gladly offered to store our luggage. Had a chance to speak to Manager behind desk, told her it was our 1st time staying, that we would love to have a room with a view for our 15yr old who we were treating to a BoSox game for his good grades.... So, if you take some beat-up modular furniture and a bed and put them into what must have once been a storage room, does that turn it into a real hotel room? How could these people have known that I was short enough to fit into the bathroom (ceiling 6' high at the most)? Did they pick up that furniture... More

Older but not out of date. Very close to Fenway, in fact there is a back door exit/entrance two blocks from the ballpark. Parking is right next door, drop off the car and forget it. The Kenmore Grill inside the hotel is perfect for meals. The T (transit) is just around the corner, the perfect wat to get around and... More

Older hotel with smaller rooms, but very clean and a block from Fenway. The staff was very helpful let us check in early after flying in on the red eye. Our room had a refrigerator and microwave. We also had a view of Fenway from room.

Stayed here from 8/5-8/8/14. Front desk staff was very nice except would only talk to the cardholder who reserved the room….even though I made the reservation! Made my husband acknowledge I was also ok to stay in the room! Water was barely warm when we took showers the next morning….reported it to the front desk and the next morning my... More

If possible, I will stay here every time I visit downtown Boston. It's walking distance to everywhere, close to the T line, and right next to Fenway Park. The hotel has a great atmosphere with its history and is kept up beautifully. This is the place to stay.

Right down the block from Fenway and near many good restaurants/bars. Not overly expensive. Rooms were very neat and clean. They were a little small especially the shower BUT they suit the purpose just fine. You are not in Boston with everything there is to offer to stay in your hotel room. We would definitely stay there again.

stayed at this hotel because it was so close to Fenway Park. Only 0.3 miles. Its an older hotel so I found it to be very quaint with great character. The staff was very friendly and the rooms clean. We had a suite which was a great surprise as we didn't know this when we booked and they have so... More

This is a wonderful hotel close to Fenway Park! Our room was very comfortable, wonderful view of Fenway Park, great shower, restaurant had wonderful food, decorated up very nicely, and we thought it was close to everything. We hopped on the trolley at Fenway to sightsee throughout Boston! The front desk staff - Kevin & Fred - were very helpful... More
