The staff are very nice and professional. There is a T Station not far from the hotel. It is not "across the street" like we thought. We made sure we didn't stay out after dark. Our trip was for sight seeing and a Boston Red Sox game so we were only at the hotel to sleep. The room was very... more

Stayed here doe six nights as part of a three week long tour of the North East. Rooms were quite spaciuous as were the bathrooms. The hotel provided two free internet terminals which we felt were very useful. The T (subway) stop was about a three minute walk away and stopped in Boston Common (focal point of the centre city).... more

We enjoyed the warm cookies we received upon arriving, which we had never seen before. The shuttle service was very convenient--we used it when we arrived, when we went to pick up our rental car, after dropping off the rental car and when returning to the airport. It was conveniently located near the T station--five minute walk tops--and we didn't... more

A friend of mine and I took a road trip from Wrigley Field to Fenway Park. Along the way we stayed in three Doubletree Hotels. Chicago, Cleveland and Boston. The other two were fine but this place should not be allowed to call itself Doubletree. I have had better experiences in hotels with no brand names. Upon check in, the... more

My family and I arrived to Boston for the first time to attend a couple of Baseball games at Fenway Park. Since I read other reviews about the hotel being close to the subway I thought it would be very convenient, and it was. The first day we arrived we were starving and it was 8:30 and with no restaurant... more

If you are looking for a good deal, and want to avoid paying those high dowtown prices, consider this place. It is very reasonable, and only a very short walk to the Red Line train stop that can take you into downtown in a matter of minutes. It does not serve breakfast, but it does have a Au Bon Paine... more

Got a very good deal at this conveniently located hotel for a three night break in Boston. Located a 5 min walk from the T station which will get you to downtown Boston within 10 mins. The walk itself isn't all that pleasant, there's road work everywhere and it's rather dingy at night. The hotel generally lived up to expectations.... more

Stayed here in August 08 because of good rate. Knew it was out of town. Shuttle bus from airport was a great service. The walk to and from T into city was quite short but quite scary. Dodgy part of town with not much around. Did not feel safe on T (but that's not the hotel's fault) - felt much... more

Like the previous review we found ourselves at the Doubletree during marathon weekend as accommodation in central Boston was very hard to come by. We weren't expecting much but were pleasantly surprised with the service and the location (despite its proximity to the city). Within walking distance is the bay which is great and has been recently landcaped. We experienced... more

The best part about this hotel was the price. Under 200 compared with 300 - 500 for any other place in Boston for marathon weekend. The major downsides were poor service and location. You have to drive and pay huge parking fees or take a trip on the T to do anything in Boston - nothing is within walking distance... more
