I bought my wife Red Sox tickets for Mother's Day. Win Win proposition. Usually we spend 250.00 or 400.00 on a hotel plus parking. This time, I figure what the heck. We'll go to a game, stay at Howard Johnson's. It's only one night. How bad can it be? The people were very nice. The parking was tight, but they... More

I paid $200 for a room, thinking that we would at least get average. I even paid a little more for a "Deluxe" room. What a frickin joke. There was a crappy little wooden desk for the deluxe. The rooms are so outdated, the beds and rock hard, and there was duct tape holding the batteries in the remote. They... More

i wouldn't call this place a dump, that would be unkind to all of the dumps of the world. There have been no apparent updates to this place - I will not bestow the compliment of "hotel" here - since it was built in the 50's or 60's. I expected to pass Richie Cunningham and Potsie Webber in the hallway... More

I came on a business trip from new York so I know what money buys you in a big city, I wasn't expecting much, but this place is just dirty. For 150 a night I was expecting a modest clean room. The blankets haven't been changed since the place was founded 50 years ago, they feel like dirty sand paper.... More

We were in Boston for Opening Day of the Red Sox so we chose this hotel due to its excellent location, and honestly we could not have been closer! Other than that it is your standard tired chain motel. Our beds were hard, the A/C was non existent (a problem since it was 88* and 90% humidity), the halls were... More

Hello, I recently stayed at your Boylston's Boston HoJo's and was extremely disappointed. For $170.00 I was given a room with a rotted broken window that was on the ground floor that could not be locked. Smelled of smoke! Then I asked for a room change ..that room was worse..dirty , stains on the carpet, rips on the bedspread, another broken... More

This hotel is not worth the savings, stay at a more expensive place and get your money's worth. We arrived at the hotel and we had to pay 20 dollars to park in their parking lot, I am told this is normal in big cities. The hotel booked on orbitz and payed in advance was 138 dollars for the night.... More

Just got back from a one night stay. We were in town for a concert at nearby House of Blues. You can't beat the location and things to do HOWEVER it was the worst night that I have ever experienced in a hotel/motel. Paper thin walls made for the party in the next room a nightmare. No management/security to quiet things... More

I recently "stayed" here for a nearby wedding. The price was only $99 but it was worth about $39 even in Boston. I say "stayed" as we did not even stay over night but used it as a parking/changing station; it was too shabby to attempt to sleep in - and the windows were so old that the freezing winter... More

I stayed at this hotel with some initial trepidation. I was on my own for three nights to see two Boston Red Sox games versus my team, the Toronto BlueJays. I was on my own because my wife was travelling in Peru at the time. The hotel was very convenient and low cost. It turned out to be excellent; clean,... More
