We arrived at the Midtown for a two night stay. I was a little concerned by the reviews, but having visited the states extensively over the last few years and never having had a bad experience with an American hotel, thought it would probably be ok! How wrong I was. The lobby is grey and dismal with a dirty, old... more

Filthy rooms, non-working toilets, non-working telephones, unfriendly staff are few words that can be used for describing this hotel. I bet if someone who has already stayed in this hotel will ever go again. If you want to have a nightmare, then choose this hotel. more

Not a 5 star but if you're looking for a place to leave your stuff and just sleep, this is worth it. Parking is extra, but negotiable. I couldn't get free, but I did get a discount. Leave your car and walk across to the subway. easiest way to get downtown. Mall within walking distance. No lounge, no food, but... more

Midtown Hotel is very centrally located and easy to find and just a couple of minutes form the T-line. The rooms are really large considering the price and our room was clean with comfortable beds. However, the small window in our room didn't shut properly and there were no safe storage areas within the room (ie wardrobe safe etc) meaning... more

Good facilities in a central location (Boston Common 10-15 minutes walk) and only 2 minutes to the Subway (Green Line). Whole hotel is in need of a bit of a refurbishment, and it's very busy - we had the misfortune to check-in as a bus-load of package travellers were arriving. But the staff are helpful, the rooms basic but clean... more

Close to the Symphony station on the green line. This hotel was great value and in a super location. We paid USD 99 per night for a double room. Prudential tower just over the road. Loads of great restaurants nearby. Ten minute walk to Copley Square. Would stay here again if I returned to Boston. more

Location can't be beat. Three blocks from Northeastern Univ and near the Prudential Center. Hotel reminds me of a budget motel. Inside decor very outdated. Our room was big, but tired looking. Bathroom was okay, no problems. Got a good deal of $99 a night, so it was okay. Other hotels much higher, as it is move in week for... more

Had to stay here for one night after settling my daughter into New England Conservatory. Picked it for its close location to the school and booked the room online for $169 for the night which is a pretty good deal for a hotel that seemed close to everything . After arriving in Boston, I could tell from the exterior that... more

Noisy, small, poor maintenance! Good: great location, friendly desk staff Bad: beds have sagging mattresses and box springs, toilet is loose, you can hear everything up and down the hall and on the floor above you, there is no way to use the restroom without waking up your roommate (there is only one switch for the light and fan and... more
