This was the 1st, but won't be the last time I stay at this hotel. I have visited Boston many times, but apparently this is a relatively new hotel. Great location on Beacon St. by the Boston Common. Small, I would guess around 70 rooms. Very tastefully decorated, with lots of dark woods, high end fixtures, fireplace, stereo, plasma TV... more

My husband surprised me with a night away before our third child is born. He couldn't have picked a more perfect location. Right in the heart of Boston we were able to walk everywhere, which is what I love most about being in the city. Our room was nicely appointed, complete with gas fireplace, stylish furniture, comfortable bed and a... more

I could have stayed for a month and still would have felt that it was too short. The graciousness and attentiveness of the staff, the size and decor of the room, the food and amenities of the service made XV Beacon one the best hotels at which I've ever stayed. Fortunately I was there for a personal celebration, which they... more

The only thing I didn't like about XV Beacon was leaving. Service was extremely accomodating and gracious without being intrusive. Thoughtful touches of class were common during our stay including gratis transportation, remembered special occassions, and extremely professional staff. The attention to detail was greatly appreciated. I love the design of the hotel and the rich, masculine decor of our... more

We found a very attentive staff from the moment we arrived until they brought us our car to leave. The rooms are gorgeous--luxurious and cozy at the same time. The room has a comfortable bed, propane fireplace, large flat screen TV and wonderful sound system. XV Beacon is in a fantastic location right in the heart of downtown Boston!!! We... more

I was there for four days and there were many problems, including: 1. Plumbing problems, i.e. no hot water. There was lukewarm water in the shower and the bathroom sink. Management sent someone up to fix it, but the water was still lukewarm the next night. In desperation, I crouched down under the sink and saw a water valve and... more

Dear NYCtoones, Thank you for your review. I welcome all feedback from guests, both positive & negative, for we strive to provide exceptional service and continuously make improvements to our property and operation. We clearly fell short of our goal during your time with us. I am disheartened to read about your experience. Had we known about your dissatisfaction while...

Located on that sacred piece of Brahman Boston's Beacon Street between the front steps of the State House and The Athenaeum the XV Beacon is worthy of its heritage. XV Beacon has a sophisticated designer style with careful old world detail and luxurious amenities from the gas fireplace, lovely flowers in the window boxes at each window, white marble an... more

Last summer I had friends visiting from various parts of the country for things people want to do in Boston during the summertime. Eat, see the Red Sox, and do a little sightseeing, along with the usual shopping, etc. We decided to stay at XV Beacon because of the level of service and commitment to all of the guests needs.... more
