Spent two comfortable nights at the Courtyard Downtown. Rooms are small but warm and cozy and the bathroom is very nice. The Front Desk Staff treated us like family. Always saying hello and more than happy to give us recommendations to eat. Will be coming back to this place again in March. All the major theateres are just steps away.... More

I really enjoyed my recent stay at the Courtyard Downtown! The location was excellent - just a few blocks from the Boston Common. The decor was modern and fun and my hotel room was huge, clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and offered tips on things to do in the area as well. The only reason I didn't... More

StacyInDC2012 , I am glad you enjoyed your visit and thank you for the great review. Our building stated as an Elk's lodge in 1925 and the renovation has been fantastic. We will complete the rest of our guest rooms over the winter and finish everything for the spring of next year. We look forward to having you back as... More

This is a different type of Courtyard property - it is an older building that is in a good location. Does not have the typical Bistro as found in other Courtyards, but there is a bar open in the evening and a pretty good breakfast bar in the morning. The staff was very nice. The King rooms are fairly good... More

Dear Steve M, Glad you enjoyed your stay with us and that this newly designed Courtyard hotel appealed to you. You are right; the Courtyard Boston Downtown doesn’t fit the typical Courtyard brand image. Guests are giving us great feedback about the new lobby bar and the selection of wine, spirits and local beer available. Thanks for the feedback about... More

We recently stayed at this hotel in a renovated room. The location of the hotel is outstanding. Lots of things within walking distance. The room although small was nicely appointed however there was no dresser or shelves in the closet to store our clothing. Luckily we were only there two nights, staying more than that with additional clothes with no... More

Dear tcnel, Thank you for staying at the Courtyard Boston Downtown. We are delighted that you enjoyed your getaway to Boston and would recommend our hotel to other travelers. Our central location and helpful staff are two of our most important features. Our guest rooms are on the small side; cozy chic we like to say yet I understand what... More

How old is this hotel? Surprised this has a Marriott name on it. Terrible "restaurant" and not sure if you can even call it a bar that they have. Who closes at 10pm and only opens at 5pm? Attempted to explain on checkout that my card should not be charged but the name on the room's card needed to be... More

Situated in the 'theatre area' of Boston, this hotel is close enough to walk to most places of interest without the frankly excessive prices of the larger more central establishments. The reception area is a large with a Starbucks situated within. My room was tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean but (and a real but) was very dark and compact (another word... More

I generally really like staying at Courtyards for business but this one is a little different. There were a few negatives. I was upgraded because of Marriott rewards to a city view room but it didn't really have a view. The room was also really small which I would normally understand for downtown Boston but I had a different expectation... More

Adam H, Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your stay. Our historic Courtyard is like no other, we started life as an Elks Lodge in 1925, long before Courtyard. We are in the midst of a complete renovation which will make the rooms more comfortable and address some of the items you brought up. Thank you... More

I tend to stay at Marriott Courtyards when I travel throughout the US...they are consistently clean and provide the services I depend on as a business traveler. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I checked into the Courtyard in downtown Boston...so chic and upscale! The rooms were smaller than usual, but the furniture and vibe made up for the space.... I stayed two nights. Nice reception area. No restaurant but there is a bar. In the morning there is Starbucks coffee stand and buffet breakfast available. I stayed at this hotel with a friend for a three night mini-vacation to Boston. Got a great deal (50%) off through Priceline's express deals. The hotel is very nice with a nice reception/lobby area with a bar. Everyone was very friendly - valets, bellhops, doorman, reception desk, housekeeping, bar staff, etc. The hotel is in a good location, 1/2... More

Dear KK78, Thank you for staying at the Courtyard Boston Downtown and enjoyed a deep discount as well. I am very sorry that your paint was scratched on your car while parked.
