Walking into the lobby gives a sense of a modern chic space with a bar and restaurant off to the side to lounge and enjoy the area. The check-in staff was very fast, professional, and helpful. The provided a list of nearby recommended restaurants to try. My room was on the 6th floor facing a theatre right across the street... More

I stayed here from Friday January 9th to Monday, January 11. My room was very good though a found it small even though I was alone. I am used to more space overall. The fact is that this hotel is in the heart of the theatre district and a number of good restaurants and historic areas for visiting.

This hotel is beyond all expectations. Steeped in history, and recently updated, the courtyard strikes the perfect balance between old and new. Just like Boston. The lobby stunning in black and while with pops of yellow which carries over into the guest rooms. While in the lobby, grab a drink at the bar, or breakfast at Post 10. A very... More

Had a wonderful experience at the Courtyard. The staff was wonderful, the rooms were clean, and the hotel was very up to date. Yes, the rooms are on the smaller side, but you are in Downtown Boston, what do you expect? I do have to say, if you are here for a long period of time, ask for a lower... More

The check-in process was very smooth. David the young man that checked me in was very pleasant and accommodating. The young African American male that checked me out could take some tips from David. He was not friendly and some of his actions were borderline rude. I had no problem with the room. It was spacious and clean with the... More

This property is conveniently located near Tufts Medical Center and in the midst of the theater district, but relative to the room charge, it was just OK. The room was city sized although the designer made the most of the space. Elevators were under repair, so only one car available for too many riders.

Dear Marsha D Thanks for staying at the Courtyard Boston Downtown and highlighting our convenient location in the heart of downtown Boston. Our rooms are quite small, however beautifully designed to maximize every inch. Our elevators are being modernized one car at a time. I am sincerely sorry that you were delayed waiting for an elevator. That project will end... More

I stayed with my daughter for 1 night after going the ballet, the hotel itself was nice, no complaints about the hotel/staff/price/location, those were all great! However....the nightclub next door completely ruined my stay. It was really just too much for me to take. I was on the 8th floor & I heard every single bump from the bass until... More

Stayed one night due to cancelled flight. No vacant rooms in Boston except this. Staff was nice and helpful. King suite. The bad experience was: very noisy all night and most of all it seems that no cleaning had been performed in elevators (some of them not even working), hallways and lobby. Room seemed clean though decor was old and... More

Dear Pedicles, Sorry to hear about your cancelled flight. Thanks for posting about our nice and helpful staff. I am glad they were able to block you in a king suite. Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
