Had a short stay here. Hotel is a large conference hotel so attracts convention groups (high school music event when we were there); our room was quiet but can imagine that varies. Given hotel size, service can be spotty with inconsistent info from different staff members. Had a junior suite (handicapped room--had not requested that). Room was clean and spacious,... More

We stayed here over July 4th week in 2015. The hotel is in a great location. We were able to walk to many locations including Fenway Park. It's close to a train station, too, so it was very easy to get anywhere in the city. The hotel is attached to a small mall, so there are restaurants and shops available... More

Dear SaraSuzy, Thank you for putting your review here on Trip Advisor following your stay at the Sheraton Boston in July. We absolutely sit in the best location for walking to shops, restaurants and tourist attractions. Sporting venues are also close by. Our pool is very popular in both Winter and Summer months and, as you probably experienced, the roof... More

Older convention center hotel with small rooms, tiny bathrooms, basic unbranded toiletries, no robes, poor towel quality, uncomfortable bed, no free Internet. Good location, but so are many other Back Bay properties. You can do much better in Boston for the price.

This hotel was a great place to stay for short after christmas break...friendly staff, warm and friendly. Helpful with anything & everything to be honest. Rooms spotless, great views of Boston. I think we may book again. Starbucks in lobby was brilliant for morning coffee on the way out to explore. Good 20min walk to the edge of town but... More

Room was huge and immaculately clean. I was pleased they had a "green" program and that they actually encouraged it by giving out $5 vouchers...which I used at the Starbucks right downstairs. Had an issue with a loud buzzing in the heating/cooling system and the dead bolt wasn't working, maintenance was there within 5 minutes and fixed the problem. The... More

The reviews are correct. This hotel is in a prime location and has great access to major shops and attractions. The staff is friendly and professional. The rooms are spacious and clean. There is a gym with a heated pool with plenty of treadmills and cardio equipment. Room service was prompt and housekeeping does a fantastic job. We had to... More

We stayed 1 night at this hotel. Staff was very friendly. Lobby very nice and inviting. Room was clean and roomy, nicely decorated. Area is convenient. Valet parking is a bit pricey at $53. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Solidly good hotel. Location is prime, I would definitely recommend to those traveling to Boston for first or second time. Indoor access to the Prudential Center is very helpful, especially during the winter months. Pool was nice! Very large hotel! Wish wifi was free. Great room upgrade just for asking! (Charles River View) Excellent customer service, nice location. Short walk to the green line T stop. Rooms small but comfortable. Can be on the loud side if you stay on a Friday or Saturday night. Could also hear the maid rapping on every door that most likely did not have a "do not disturb"... More

Upon entering the Sheraton, we were struck with the vastness of the lobby, and the number of groups. However, our checkin was quick (thank-you, Barnabas), and we settled into our room. We enjoyed a view of Back Bay. Our room was spacious, and had a refrigerator and coffee maker. The bed was very comfortable. The down comforter was warm and... More

Staying in Back Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
