I paid around $196 a night in July 2014. I guess it's a tough call to give only three stars to a hotel in a good location but pretty steep price in Boston. I guess every hotel in Boston is expensive! Room is very small and crammed in. Shower could do with a bit of an upheaval. The aircon is... More

Stayed at the Milner and had an alright experience. The staff were not overly friendly but they had information and gave it if asked. Our room was on the first floor at the end of the hallway. It was small and clean, although since it is an old hotel, It felt dingy. The air conditioner was so loud it kept... More

Hotel prices are extortionate in Boston. But this one seemed to be unusually affordable compared to the others. If you are in Boston for a meeting and you need somewhere clean, central, secure for a night or two, frankly, this will do quite well. Breakfast was pretty good and staff all seemed very friendly too. Landings a bit worn...but then... More

My boyfriend and I stayed two nights. Breakfast was good! Our room was tiny but clean. The staff was helpful. Wifi did not reach my room on the first night, I informed the front desk and it was fixed that night. The hotel is well located. Easy to reach all places on foot. Breakfast served until 11 am was great... More

Was in town for my cousins wedding and stayed here because I got a deal for it. The hotel is very small and run down it was built in the 1800s and some of the decor looks like it came from then. Our room 510 was very small and the floor was slanted. The tiles in the bathroom were chipping... More

This is without a doubt the worst hotel I've ever stayed in for the price. It was quite expensive and so disappointing. The outdated lobby, which was understaffed and shabby should have been a clue. The room was cramped, so much that we couldn't open a suitcase unless it was on the bed. The outlook was a dirty alley, the... More

Just one night here. the position in Boston is very convenient and this is a major plus point. thats about all. The room was basic, very small with metal stanchions sticking out from the sides of the bed determined to catch you as you passed by. The breakfast was very poor. Very limited and all the utensils and crockery were... More

To start with there is no parking available at the hotel. We parked up the road about 5 min away at a parking station. Certainly no disabled access as you enter up a set of steps into the foyer. The foyer is very unimpressive, cramped and outdated decor. Staff were helpful enough and let us store our bags until our... More

We spent five nights at the Milner while visiting Boston for a conference. We couldn't get a room at one of the conference hotels, so we did a search and decided to try the Milner, which seemed to be a unique historic alternative. We discovered that the location is truly exceptional. It was a manageable walk to the convention center... More

Firstly lets get the elephant out of the closet... the price. Many people complain that for a two or two plus hotel the price is high. Based on the cost of hotels in Boston this is not high (we paid $247 plus tax per night), if you want more space and you want a waiter at breakfast then just pay... More
