First stop on a month of travelling in the US, wasn't expecting much as its just a holiday inn, was a pleasant stay, clean and good size room, self service breakfast was good and less fussy than some hotels that attempt to provide "service". Overall a good stop off which i would use again.

I got a deal on Groupon for Chandler Inn for 80 bucks/night, which I thought was a steal for the amazing location! However, when I got there the sheets and pillowcases were dirty (stains, and hair) and the customer service was terrible. We asked for new sheets and the those were just as dirty. The guy got annoyed we even... More

The Chandler Inn is a nice hotel to stay in Boston. The staff is wonderful and helpful. The bed is comfortable, the light in the room is pleasant and the shower is big enough for two. The room is small, but what do you need a big room for when you are in Boston?! On the ground floor is the... More

This a nice boutique hotel right in the middle of the South End. It's with walking distance of the MBTA and Commuter Rail. Also within walkin distance to Newberry Street shopping, the Commons, the Public Gardens, and even Faneuil Hall Market Place and the North End. There are wonderful neighborhood restaurants around as well Trophy's downstairs. My only complaint is... More

The Chandler Inn is an economical and yet also quite stylish hotel with boutique aspirations on the fringes of the South End, one of the only properties servicing the area, although Somewhat of a distance from the main streets. On the other hand, it is around the corner from the Back Bay subway station and the bridge leading to downtown... More

This stay (3 nights) over Christmas week was our second at The Chandler Inn. We have family living across the street so the location is perfect...and would be great even without that benefit. The desk people are always friendly and helpful. Cannot review their breakfast because the great Berkeley Perk a few doors down is our go to place for... More

Tony and I stayed overnight at The Chandler Inn after a Christmas party in Boston at the beginning of Dec 2915. The botique hotel was cozy and comfortable. The room was small, as most are in Boston, but we'll appointed. The space saving full shower in the bathroom was a great idea and something we will keep in mind for... More

Enjoyed the charm of this updated property, close to neighborhood cafes and restaurants, and minutes from downtown. The Trophy Room bar and grill is a great place to start your day with breakfast, and a warm and friendly place to have a drink and listen to live music in the evening.

The location of this property is what brought me to it, being around the corner from family. It is also walkable to many restaurants in the South End , Newbury Street and Copley. Its just tired . The rooms are small and the bathroom smaller- the sink is minute, but the amenities were fine. The bed and pillows were comfortable.... More

A great value for the money, if all you need is a place to rest. The hotel is located in between the Back Bay and South End. Very good coffee, btw, in the reception area...not watery, but flavorful and hot! The room and bathroom were clean, though on the tight side. The next time, I would ask for a room... More

Staying in South End

Neighborhood Profile
South End
Stroll down the beautiful brownstone lined streets while capturing views of Boston’s tallest buildings from a distance. Some of Boston’s best restaurants are scattered around this neighborhood. There are many gems to be found, from jazz clubs to classy bars and restaurants. It is also home to art galleries, interesting boutiques, artsy stores and SOWA open market during the summer months. The South End is a true find in the city, with a more residential feeling than Back Bay.
