Only stayed one night but in good location, staff very friendly. Rooms a little dated but clean and safe in a lovely area of the South End. more

My daughter and I enjoyed our stay at the Chandler Inn. It was our first trip to Boston, and the desk staff was very knowledgeable about where to go and how to get there. They really knew Boston, and were friendly and helpful. Room was small but comfortable and clean. Only negative was that the shower was like showering under... more

My friend and I really found the hotel to be very charming. It was located in the Southend of Boston, and was easy to access the rail system, or downtown by foot. When I return to Boston, I will be back. Very easy to get to and from the airport without a car so that made it all the better... more

I thought that given the excellent service the staff at the hotel gave me a positive review was the least I could offer so let me start with first impressions. I arrived at the Chandler (one block away from the bus station so a good start) to find that for some reason the third party booking company I had used... more

I stayed at Chandler Inn Hotel at the beginning of September 2009. The hotel is situated at a 5-7-minute walk from the Back Bay Amtrak/Orange Line station in a residential area featuring rows of brownstones. The check-in went smoothly, the guy at the reception being efficient and friendly. There is a coffee-machine in the lobby of the hotel, which became... more

Enjoyed a great stay again celebrating my birthday - road trip gift to myself - this time in one of the new upgraded Boutique rooms - in room 8 on 7th floor which was very clever of Gretchen (Manager who remembered me from a previous visit - very unusual in this day and age) as that was my birth date.... more

First of all, I want to say that this is a very NICE hotel. Our room was wonderful, a bit small, but very nice. Check-in is where the problem was. I first went in, (I am a 58 year woman, who had been traveling all day and wearing shorts and a t-shirt, and minimal make-up on, needless to say, I... more

The inn has a great location in a beautiful tree-lined upscale neighborhood. The inn is surround by beautiful brownstone homes. It was only a 5-10 minute walk at most to the Back Bay T stop. There is a nice bar attached to it that my friend and I visited. It is a gay bar, however we didn't mind. We never... more

Our room and bathroom were both fairly small and very basic, much older and lower quality than what is shown in pictures on the hotel's website. There were only about 3 feet between toilet, sink and shower, and with no fan in the bathroom it would get quite hot and stuffy. Our air conditioning barely blew out any cold air... more
