I am not sure if I am reading the reviews of the same place I just stayed at this past weekend because the place I stayed at exceeded my expectations. We stayed in unit #9 and were more than happy. The unit is very small, but if you are young and are expecting to be out and about all day,... More

The code to get into the building and room are emailed . There is no lobby or anyone to talk with, it feels like your own apartment . Our room was clean . It is a small room which isn't a problem. We a a walk out terrace which is surrounded by buildings. The rooftop area is awesome . We... More

We stayed there last week. This is an unmanned hotel. You get a key code via email a day or two before you checkin in. Interesting concept. Overall, we found the accommodations acceptable. The location was great. Its in the South End, a few blocks from Copley Square, the Back Bay, the Prudential Center, and the "T" (green line). Within... More

Great place to stay, walking distance to a lot of eateries locked in South End. Convenient to train station and restaurants. Clean, I would recommended lower floors, no elevator and stairs are steep. Nice rooftop patio with grill and great views.

Just got in about an hour ago from NYC. We are very pleased with the location......BUT, the cute little apartment style unit is stuffy, sticky and dirty. It doesn't take long looking around before you notice the grungy dishes, dust galore and fixtures ready to fall off. I didn't come here to clean.

We stayed here in room 6 for 5 nights. It was a little compact but had good kitchen facilities with everything you need to prepare your own meals. We loved the location, it was like your own home from home in Boston yet everything was so accessible with a train station less than 10mins walk. The views from the roof... More

We rented a studio apartment it was a first class experience. We got to stay in a beautiful Brownstone building that felt like a home away from home. The apartment was clean, tidy and well equipped with enough crockery and facilities to prepare your own meals. We had access to lovely balcony and there was also an amazing roof terrace with... More

After reading such mixed reviews we were worried but decided to book anyway due to location and cost. Yes the hallway is dark, steep, and the carpet is a bit grubby. Yes there is no elevator or front desk, but we knew this and were prepared for this. Apartment 4 was very clean and nice and the kitchen was well... More

I have never had occasion to negatively review a place whilest staying at it, till now. The WIFI is worse that that in countries of Southeast Asia like Myanmar. Last read till it stopped being able to be tested, 0.16 Mbps. This is leaving us unable to work. The reason we're in Boston. Though it's June1, at 42 F outside... More

Just awful! I booked this on Expedia, believing it to be a "hotel", as described on the website. It is not a hotel. It is an unstaffed apartment building, with filthy carpeting, piles of dead leaves and dustballs in the entryway (there is no lobby), shabby aging fixtures, and no amenities. There was no mention that my room would be... More

Staying in South End

Neighborhood Profile
South End
Stroll down the beautiful brownstone lined streets while capturing views of Boston’s tallest buildings from a distance. Some of Boston’s best restaurants are scattered around this neighborhood. There are many gems to be found, from jazz clubs to classy bars and restaurants. It is also home to art galleries, interesting boutiques, artsy stores and SOWA open market during the summer months. The South End is a true find in the city, with a more residential feeling than Back Bay.
