Older hotel; somewhat tired amenitites, but clean rooms. If you're a light sleeper, the A/C unit was pretty loud and cycled on/off all night....Great breakfast buffet (usual fare: cereals, breads, waffles, eggs, sausage) included, as was wifi internet access. Fridge and microwave in room. Single-serve coffee pot a pain, but plenty of free coffee in breakfast room...Terrific locale close to... more

I recommend this hotel because it is a beautifully renovated hotel in the generous living area. It's placed only one block from the nearest T (train) station so it's easy to reach every part of Boston. It also has high-speed internet connection. more

Pros: Location is not bad, it's a short walk to the green line train which takes you where ever you need to go, either by itself or connecting to another line. Across the street to the right of the hotel is Mt. Hood Rd, walk to the end of the block and cross by the 7-11, the train comes every... more

We call this place the bedbug motel. We stayed there a few times while my son was in college close by. It never was very nice but the parking was free. The last time we stayed there I noticed that the fabric on the side of the box spring had been sliced open. I wondered what was going on... The... more

Due to a snowstorm, the roads were terrible and we needed to get off the highway at 1am. We past a Sheraton but I didn't want to pay $150 or more for quick 8hr stay. The GPS pointed out this Best Western. At 1am, the front desk open and the gentleman at the desk was friendly. On a walk-in, he... more

We were looking for an affordable place to stay in Boston and we got an amazing deal at the Best Western through a Travel Agency. For 130$/night, free parking and breakfast included, this 3-star hotel was more than what we expected. Check-in was very easy. Reception staff was very helpful. Manager was friendly. Breakfast was acceptable. Room was clean and... more

Best Western Terrace Inn, 1650 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston, MA, USA Stayed: Sep 2008, one night double room. Location: Actually on Mount Hood Road off Commonwealth Avenue, between Washington Street and Sutherland Street Boston MBTA Green Line B tram stops. The tram journey is roughly 40-50 mins from Park Street and Government Centre Downtown stations, so the hotel is not very... more

First of all, it was well situated for us. We took the tram/subway to visit downtown. We felt quite safe in the neighborhood where the hotel is situated. The hotel itself has been semi-renovated and is clean and acceptably furnished. We were pleasantly surprised by the breakfast, it's self-serve but they have eggs, waffles, cereal, fruit, and toast. We found... more

We found this hotel on Priceline, and we were looking for a Fenway weekend. The hotel was obvious, because it really is in the back of a gas station parking lot. Check-in at the front desk was super easy, and the front desk clerk was so friendly, helpful and polite! Check-in literally took less than 30 seconds, including when he... more

Stayed with wife and 2 teenage kids for 5 nights. Paid about $175/night. Half a block from the Washington St T stop; Green Line. Free parking. Wireless. Pretty good breakfast. Very good service. Fritz ran the front desk and he was great. Rooms aren't very big but very clean. Location is very good and you can save a few bucks... more
