We stayed twice at the Gryphon House B & B - the first time for 4 nights in the Tuscany room and the second time for 1 night in the Garden Room. The rooms are decorated in a flowery antique style which suits the character of the building and all amenities and facilities are carefully thought out. Continental breakfast is... More

This is a place you come to if you're not the hotel type. It's a beautiful brownstone converted to a B&B. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly!! They get A++(Samantha and Annie). The breakfast are nice-could use a few more beverages other than milk and oj. A nice touch would be to have iced lemon water in a dispenser... More

The Gryphon House was perfect for our stay in Boston. The building has a lot of character and it is close to everything. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys heritage buildings and the comfort of a B&B.

The Gryphon House is a perfect blend of vintage and cutting-edge, with beautiful antiques and free WiFi. The lobby and sitting room are tastefully decorated, there are a ton of books and DVDs for guest use, and the breakfasts were delicious! We stayed two nights in Tuscany (the room, not the Italian region!) and its spaciousness was second to none.... More

Not only is the Gryphon House a charming building, with large and well laid-out rooms, it is the most comfortable place we've stayed in anywhere. The staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The rooms are full of antiques, but they're not the kind you're afraid to use. A helpful addition to your little haven is a refrigerator, sink, dishes, etc.,... More

Beautiful old building, wirh modern amenities but also retaining its charm - decorated with antiques and well maintained and / or restored architectural features. Very stately neighborhood, located near B.U. We stayed in the Riverview room for two nights - this was our second stay at the Gryphon house, and each room has it's own personality. Walk to Newbury and... More

I can't say enough wonderful things about this B & B. We were in Boston for 4 days and stayed here just this past week. Most warm and friendly staff ever. The place was so beautiful and so close to everything. It was such a fabulous vacation and this had so much to do with staying at the Gryphon House.... More

My two sons (ages 12 and 10) stayed at the Gryphon House last Monday through Thursday. We loved it. We stayed in the Sanctuary room, located down a short spiral staircase, and it was everything we could want. A third blow-up bed fit in nicely and we had more than enough room thanks to three closets and the window bench... More

This is not a stay - but just like living here, been at home in a Boston brownstone house. A business hotel can not compete with such a cosy bed & breakfast house. The rooms are all different, and with furnitures bringing you back to an early days atmosphere.

I always stay at the Gryphon House whenever I come to Boson on business, and I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. There are many reasons why I consider this to be my Boston "home", but the main reason is that the staff and the owners are all very special people who are extremely warm, friendly, helpful and accommodating- to...
