Great location with city and harbor views, helpful and friendly staff, delicious food onsite and in nearby restaurants, clean and attractive rooms and common areas, not as close to historical sites but taxi cabs and tour buses abound.

This hotel is quite average. The staff is friendly and helpful. The lobby is nice and well appointed. The rooms are average. The gym is nice. Its larger than an average hotel gym. The design of the building is odd... I had a corner room... with one window. ??? A bit odd but it is what it is. Plenty of... More

Dear avillebud, Thank you for reviewing our hotel on TripAdvisor. We appreciate your comprehensive feedback regarding our guest rooms, fitness center, and Renaissance ambassadors, and will be certain to share with the team. The Seaport area in Boston is evolving rapidly from the piers and warehouses that once were prevalent along the waterfront. As one of the first residents of... More

The Renaissance Boston Water is a little removed from the downtown. But there are a few restaurants around the corner such as Legal Seafood. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the hotel and the great service by it's staff. Again a little off the beaten path, but a pleasant 15 minute walk to the Financial district.

The Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel has O.K. service. The only outstanding amenity that I recall, was the Aveda soap. There was an ugly sofa in my room. Breakfast was $40 per person for the buffet. They have a nice fireplace in the foyer lounge that was nice to step into from the freezing cold outside. Unfortunately, they did not have... More

I stayed at the Renaissance during a business trip and found the facilities to be superb. The lobby was cool and the room was very nicely done. I had a tech updated desk - connected my laptop to the main TV. The gym, pool, sauna looked great. Pack your gym clothes even if you're here for a short stay.

My stay at the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel was very comfortable and located near many restaurants and local attractions within walking distance. My two-night stay in the double queen didn't have a great view (I was on the eighth floor and my view was of the other side of the hotel which was a shame since I knew the Harbor... More

I stayed in the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel for one night in October to attend a conference near the hotel. The hotel itself has a nice layout and outstanding service and amenities. The room itself was very nice, clean and quite (noreaster weather related noise only), however I did wish that the room had a stocked mini-fridge (there is a... More

Renaissance Waterfront Hotel - Boston Bait and switch money trap. $145 plus tax for a room from Priceline - big bargain supposedly. $23 one way cab ride (inc $7..50 bag charge for bags I had to load myself) $46.59 for a super light nouvelle dinner… what was in reality little more than a bar snack. Better cooking than the ghastly... More

Being a platinum elite member I have a chance to see Marriott hotels at their best. This was not one of those time. While new surroundings are a treat, the service was not. I booked a package that came with amenities, unfortunately became a total battleground (2 drunks in the lounge) everyday the story of the amenities changed. There was... More

Hotel was very nice. New, clean, contemporary. Located near Silver Line for T. Hotel bar had good selection. Concierge (Navigator) was helpful. Only complaint is that the hotel really isn't located near any shopping if that is a consideration for the trip.
