Walkable to many things in the Seaport area and super friendly staff. But, the construction transmits sounds like crazy. I'm not picky but even with the fan on high the person walking across the floor in the room above me sounded like the base line in a band. A little carpet padding maybe?

We spent three days here for my significant other's birthday and had a great time. We didn't do much with the cold weather we had but being that it's centrally located in town, we were able to venture out and eat at nearby places for his birthday celebration. Overall the hotel has a great atmosphere and the staff is wonderful.... More

My husband and I stayed here for one night this past weekend. We were attending an event at the Seaport World Trade Center that's located right across the street and the hotel was very conveniently located to that. There are a ton of restaurants close by (just head the 1/2 block towards the water). We arrived early and requested to... More

Second stay in the Renaissance and I will definitely be back for a third. Late check in on what could have been a bad evening. Big beer festival on the waterfront which meant lots of revelers checked in to the hotel. As a business traveller I wanted peace and quiet. When my first room was adjacent to revelers I asked... I stayed at the Renaissance Boston Waterfront while attending the MA Conf. for Women. Luckily I was able to book a room at a discounted rate as a regular night stay is typically on the higher end. Regardless, the room was spacious enough for my colleague and me and in a great location considering you can walk to everything you... More

Easy stroll to the conference center and bus stop to center city right across the street. Very helpful staff, with restaurant and bar employees quite attentive. Concierge was terrific. Lovely views of the harbor from many of the rooms. Lot of super restaurants just a few steps away, including Legal Seafood and Legal Seafood Test Kitchen.

This is not in downtown Boston, but it's in the up-and-coming Seaport district, near Convention Center, ICA, Children's Museum and not too far from Aquarium. It's a perfectly nice standard over-the-median not a lot of soul hotel. Good for conferences at the hotel or nearby including conventions. Water is $4.00. Have to pay for wifi which annoys me in this... More

I recently attended a conference and while the hotel is a few blocks away, it is an easy walk to either the conference center or to the Westin, which then connects to the center. Staff were helpful and friendly. There are a few restaurants nearby, easy access to public transportation (free ride from the airport, small charge for return trip... More

Great location with bus terminal outside door and close to city. Hotel and rooms well appointed staff helpful. Great bar that does excellent food where we had dinner one night after tasting a few plates over a few drinks. Breakfast also great with all you would expect. Special mention to Eric from loss prevention. We arrived in New York and... More

This hotel has a variety of benefits: Walking distance (3 blocks) to nearby Massachusetts Convention Center one direction, and easy walk to great restaurants and activities on Waterfront the other direction. Also, public transportation or Uber makes all of Boston very accessible from this hotel. While there you must try a lobster roll at "Yankee Lobster" a couple of blocks... More

Staying in Seaport District / South Boston Waterfront

Neighborhood Profile
Seaport District / South Boston Waterfront
This area has been expanding and becoming more and more popular, for good reason. Not surprisingly, the seaport district of South Boston is located beautifully along the water. The area is designed for easy strolling along the HarborWalk, and there are bars and restaurants for all ages and budgets. The Institute of Contemporary Art is located in this area in a contemporary building with an absolutely stunning deck overlooking the water. In the summer time there are Friday music concerts on the deck of the museum. Nearby, there are many green spaces to enjoy.
