We really loved this hotel. It was an eclectic and historical building, buzzing nightlife and beautiful rooms. The waitress at the bar downstairs even went out of her way to write down suggested places for dinner, which led to one of the most amazing culinary experiences of our holiday. This hotel was clean, interesting and full of history. Admittedly, we... More

We arrived at The Liberty after a very long day at Six Flags theme park. Hot, tired, grumpy and about to start a row. J'aime at reception took one look at us and....offered us a glass of champagne !!! It made it all better - like a plaster for our nerves! ( I bagged a second glass before I left... More

Stayed here for a wedding that was held at the hotel. Requested an ADA (mobility) room and was told I had one…only thing ADA was a roll in shower. Otherwise it was NOT an ADA room! Restaurant service in the hotel was spotty at best. Once we ordered and food was delivered, we never saw a server again. No refills... More

Thank you very much for taking the time to review your experience. I am so sorry that you had a less than perfect stay. Our team thrives on exceeding guest expectations and again, I am sorry that we fell short. We do have specific ADA guest rooms and I apologize that the one you received did not meet your needs.... I spent two nights with my wife in this beautiful hotel which was transformed from a jail. I booked with starwood points and this is the first hotel I can say was definitely worth every point. Service was great too. The only negative thing I have to say is the price for parking, which is $47 a day.

Liberty Hotel on Charles is a converted prison. Booked through Hotels.com - they probably don’t want me talking price here (although all sites had the same price). So lets say I paid full price the first night and 12 1/2% less for the 2nd night (advertised as a 15% discount overall). We decided to stay a third night (a Friday... More

We stayed at The Liberty for a long weekend while we visited friends and family in Boston. I researched this hotel quite a bit before our stay and read many of the reviews. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance (although it depends on how much you want to walk!) to Beacon Hill, Boston Common, TD Gardens, The Museum... More

The Liberty Hotel is fantastic! The location is great (next to MGH and a T-station), the quality of the service superb (we were given sparkling wine while standing in line at the check in), the rooms large enough and well furnished, and all the accouterments are top notch. I have zero complaints - this was luxury as it should be.... More

If you want to stay at the best hotel in Boston you have two choices. The Mandarin would be more relaxing and quiet, and with a great spa, and a better location. The Liberty would offer you a nice location (Charles street of Beacon Hill is my favorite) and you have a red-line of the T (metro) that takes you... More

When we found this hotel we were excited as we expected a lot from the combination of a former prison (hopeful the only time we will sleep in a prison...) and a hotel. It simply looked great on the website but it was another reminder of hotel pictures vs reality. We booked a larger room which was pretty expensive but... More

Thank you for selecting The Liberty for your recent trip to Boston! We appreciate your candid feedback on your experience. While I am sorry not all aspects of your stay, namely your guest room and breakfast service were completely up to our standards, I was delighted to hear you received friendly service and we were able make amends on those... My fiancé and I stayed at The Liberty for a night when coming into Boston for an appointment. Everything about the hotel was beautiful and I love the history of it. We were greeted at check-in with champagne and the rest of our stay was very pleasant. We also went for a drink at one of the hotel's bars which... More
