This hotel was perfectly located. The room was a bit small, but it didn't matter to me. There was not enough pressure in the shower though, and I could hear a man snoring from the next room. Staff was very nice and helpful.

Hotel 140 is conveniently located and easy to get to. The staff was incredibly nice helpful, the room was clean and comfortable. It was hot in the room, but you can actually use the provided thermostat to make it more comfortable.

I needed a place to stay for one night near Copley and the price and location were right. This is a functional hotel and you definitely get what you pay for, the room was clean and had the minimal amenities but I wasn't expecting much for the price. The toilet wasn't flushing well which wasn't terrific but not the end... More

It is a nice hotel. Very good location, friendly staff, good value for money. Would stay there again. Nice resturants in the nearby area. Newbury street is near, H&M few steps away great location for shopping. 10 minutes walk to Downtown Crossing.

The desk concierge were very helpful. very safe, have to have room fob to use elevator. Amy at the front desk told us about cheaper parking and gave us quick directions to the movie theater and the room was immaculate.

While the accommodations aren't lavish, the hospitality is out of this world! I frequently stay at big chain hotels, but because of the location and personal attention of the service team, I'll be staying here for all my future downtown stays.

I would get a bigger room next time. And I would check with the staff if the rooms and beds are really clean.... I found a bit of dust on my bed. Nothing serious! The location of this hotel is incredible! I would go again! Thx

Very close to everything in the Back Bay area. Nice clean room although not large. Very friendly staff. Room was a bit noisy but I guess that is what you get when you are downtown. Many nice restaurants nearby. I would recommend staying here.

The convenient location, excellent customer service, tight security, and exceptionally clean rooms make this hotel great value. Flour Bakery across the street is another bonus! I highly recommend Hotel 140.

With the ability to leave our bags in the hotel after checkout, we were given even more time to travel through the city. The staff was extremely nice and helpful and the location was perfect! Although the room wasn't very large, it was fine for 2 people.

Staying in Back Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
