Our first visit to the Boxer was a good one. Serena checked us in early on our weekend to visit family and see Fleetwood Mac. Serena was SUPER. Chris our Valet treated us like we were royalty. Go Chris! When we got to the room we were shocked to see just how small it was. My shins are still bruised... More

My Wife and i visited friends in Boston this weekend and stayed at the Boxer. I am in the Hospitality industry and was very impressed. It has a great location, really appealing decor, very comfortable beds and an overall great vibe. I found the service to be excellent in every facet of the hotel. I would go back without hesitation.

I recently stayed at The Boxer for a business trip (5 nights) and found the room to be okay. There was something in the room I was highly allergic to - maybe it was the prickly sheets or the massive coating of dust on the 2 vents in the room. The dark, flat/matte paint color showed everything that the room... More

I came across The Boxer quite by happenstance. What a wonderful and delightful place. It is not a large place and has quite a quirky nature. The bed and room were quite comfortable. The restaurant and bar just delightful. Aaron was an excellent host. I've know this will be a place I will say again. During a Nor'easter, this was... More

We were in Boston last weekend for parents' weekend at BU. We originally chose The Boxer to be a little off the beaten path and because they were offering an excellent rate on Expedia. We were pleasantly surprised to find that we had lucked into such a great hotel. A beautifully clean and modern room paired with friendly and welcoming... More

I really struggled to find accommodation in Boston for a reasonable price in October and stumbled across this one almost by accident. I liked that it was fairly central compared to all others I looked at in the same price bracket, about 15 minutes' walk to the Common. I think it was formerly known as the Bullfinch which caused our... More

Real nice hotel in a great accessible area. Steps to many places of interest on Boston. Quincy Market/Fanueil Hall. North End. TD Center. Boston Common etc. close to airport too which was convenient for exit (10 min cab ride which the hotel arranged for us- nice touch) The hotel is eclectic design and if you appreciate clever use of architecture... We knew the rooms were small when we booked. It seems we got one of the largest. Still very very small but with a good size bathroom. The walls are thin so hope to get a quiet neighbor. One night we had a bachelor party next door. Good thing they left at ten for dinner. But even with quiet guests... More

I stayed at this hotel for a night when I was passing through Boston on business and I liked it. The front desk staff was friendly and had a nice casual banter with me and one another. They held a package for me that I had shipped to the hotel and gave it to me immediately. They check in was... More

We stayed there for 3 nights. The room was nicely decorated though on the small side not helped by the huge bed that took a lot of space. Quite annoyed that you cannot open the windows and you need to put the a/c on just to air a bit but that's not unusual in the US. However, the biggest disappointment... More
