Boston is an expensive place to stay. We probably got a pretty good rate at the Back Bay Hotel (about $240 per night). I booked in advance directly through the hotel website and got a great deal. The hotel is beautiful and in a great location. Great selection of restaurants within walking distance. One day it never stopped raining, but such a nice room we didn't mind hanging out at the hotel. Enjoyed breakfast in their restaurant. Everyone was very nice and helpful.... more

We had 4 nights at Back Bay, and found the staff really friendly and helpful, the rooms comfortable , really well equipped, and cleaned to a very high standard. The hotel itself isn't actually a bad hotel. The location is good, but forget about seeing any of the views from your room. Was charged $175.00 for smoking charges. Had to fight tooth and nail for removal, said they were, removed, only to then be charged again a few days later. Rooms small. Cuffs, bar downstairs lovely, but pricey. more
