Stayed here for 5 nights whilst travelling. Have to say it is one of my favourite hostels I have stayed in. They have a good communal area with games, pool table, large kitchen dining area, tv section and coffee lounge downstairs. Located in Chinatown is good for food as loads of restaurants within a 2 minute walk! Just round the... More

I wouldn't recommend this hostel if you are a young backpacker looking for a more authentic, homely feel. This hostel, like a lot of HI hostels, is perfectly nice, but does feel more like a hotel in which you live with others rather than a place that feels like home. It is very very big, with something like 200 people... More

Big modern hostel, very clean. Good amenities, rooms very comfortable, large lockers, charge points at every bunk. Loads of bathrooms on each floor. The free breakfast has plenty of options if you're a picky eater. We went on the pub crawl which was brilliant Craic, and made a few friends. The only quibble was the poor wifi, but I can... More

We stayed here for 4 nights. Close proximity to South Bay station so easy to get to from here!! Very close to Chinatown, Theatre district and Boston Common. The hostel itself is very clean. Very spacious. The room was quite narrow but still big enough - although if u have long legs, the bed is quite short too. Little or no... More

This hostel is well laid out, clean, friendly and quiet at night. It's ideally located for exploring Boston (4-5 min walk to Boston Common and the start of the Freedom Trail) and handy for bars, cafés and pubs. A definite for a cheap stay in Boston!

This hostel is in a perfect location in Boston, very central and easy to get to all the main attractions. It's very close the subway to get to Harvard as well. The building itself is very clean and modern with great facilities. I went to Boston alone so it was perfect for me, but there were also families, groups and... More

I stayed at this hostel for 3 nights in a six person female dormitory. The hostel was clean and well maintained, and the staff was amazing. The hostel was in a great location just a few blocks away from Boston common and easy access to the subway. The hostel had many activities for its patrons and even had a daily... More

Nice, modern and tidy hostel featuring many tiny things that make hostel life convenient (large lockers, small compartment, plug socket and light next to each bed, coat hook etc.). Well located in walking distance to the major attractions and right next to the subway, making it easy to get there from the airport or getting around in Boston. The includes... More

Hostelling International Boston was an absolutely excellent hostel. It was clean, warm (which was important during winter snow-storms) and welcoming. The free breakfast was always excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly. When my friend's suitcase broke and would not open, they were more than happy to help her break in to retrieve her belongings. During our three night stay... More

I was not sure if we would like this place or not since we had two older people (40-somethings) and two twenty-somethings in our party. We were pleasantly surprised. It is in a super location, clean rooms, good breakfast, laundry, wifi, pool table, tv room, secure lockers, nice staff and great fellow travelers. we did not wait for a bathroom... More
