Usually when I travel from NYC to visit my daughters in Cambridge I stay in a motel convenient to the highway. I rarely do this as I enjoy a great place to stay where the philosophy and practices demonstrate they know how to be a great "inn keeper" and have perceived the needs of appreciative guests. The beautiful brownstone is... More

Just came back from a birthday weekend in Boston - what a beautiful city! So much to see and do. Contrary to what others have said, I found the bed in room 321 (the Connecticut Room) to be quite comfy. Yes, the shower is low flow but is this really a deal breaker? For me, no. The B&B chooses to... More

My friend and I stayed at the College Club in late September and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had front-facing single rooms on different floors which were quite adequate in size for one person and were charmingly furnished. We shared a very nice bathroom with another single room on our floor. There was quite a lot of traffic on Commonwealth Avenue... More

My wife and I stayed for four nights at end of September and explored Boston which we found very interesting from an Englishman's perspective. The B&B is a very good location as a base for exploring or shopping and in the evening there are many nearby restaurants. We stayed in room 321 Connecticut which is quite large and has en... More

After a long day of traveling and braving the Boston traffic, I dropped my son at the hotel entrance with our luggage so I could go park the car in the garage which is around the other side of the congested (yet beautiful) Boston Public Gardens. When I finally parked the car, I saw that he had texted me several... More

Had not really been to Boston before and we had booked this place, on a whim, from Australia, hoping it would be OK. It is in a really lovely part of Boston and, although it is a bit of a hike to get to the subway, the walk itself is so nice that you don't notice it! The CCB is... More

Hadn't been to Boston in years because of the high prices and decided I would go this fall no matter what. Was very happy to find this place on the internet. Agree with everything the previous reviewers O E Slady and M Alvarez wrote. Went with a friend who agreed that she would be happy to stay there again. Just... More

Just the best location on a tree-lined street within easy walking distance of the subway and major shopping. More like a B and B than a hotel, it offers pleasant accommodating staff and a homey old-fashioned ambiance. We stayed in the Simmons room which was spacious with a lovely modern bathroom and lots of seating including a chaise. No A/C... More

Beautiful inn just across from public garden. One street over from dining and shopping on Newbury street. Arlington metro a block away. We were in room 217 street side and never had any street noise. Would also love a chaise instead of the chairs that came in the room. Not too comfy. The breakfast dining area was so cute and... More

Fabulous location in Back Bay, with the Boston Gardens down the street. Also close to public transportation. My room was huge and quiet, and the breakfast room was very pleasant. It reminded me of London B&Bs.
