This hotel is hidden away on a side street with an small entrance. However it is a great location - couple short blocks to Back Bay Station, Copley "T", and Copley Square. We were on a college visit and jumped on the "T" to visit BU. We actually walked the few blocks to visit Emerson (across from the Boston Common)... More

We chose this hotel for the price and location, and you get pretty much what you expect. It's a nice looking place from the outside. Continental breakfast was included and was decent compared to other places we've stayed (bagels, toast, english muffins, regular muffins, 4 types of cereal, fruit, coffee, juice). The room was stayed in was fairly small with... More

Stayed here for 1 night on a business trip. The hotel is a little hard to find as there is no larger street presence. Just a small sign and single door. The staff was friendly and helpful. They were quick to accommodate my request for a late check-out. The room was okay but the bathroom was very small. The hotel... More

I had been going to Anime Boston every year and could never find a good hotel. The rooms here were clean and had everything we needed. It came with continental breakfast which doesn't happen with most hotels in Boston. Especially when you are on the run like I was. It also had close easy access to the prudential mall which... More

It is definately affordable, lovely lobby and basic rooms. Kind staff and great location in Boston's historic Back Bay. It was purchased by another hotel group not too long ago so I don't know if any renovation plans are in the works. Lots of international students bunk here. It is clean and the bathrooms haven't been updated in a while.... More

I was the guest of an institution during my stay at the Boston Common Hotel. As others have pointed out, it’s located off Copley Square, within walking distance of the Common but technically in the Back Bay. For people fond of old hotels in which glass, ceramic, and metal components outweigh those made of plastic, this one offers a lot... More

Stayed here fro a weekend with my girlfriend for a convention because it was cheap, and boy was it. The walls are paper thin, we could here the people next to us talking through the walls and every time some one closed a door in the hallway it felt right there. The bathrooms smelled awful and i swear mold was... More

I have read mixed reviews for this hotel, but I am glad to have been pleasantly surprised by the experience. The rooms are small, continental breakfast provided, clean rooms, and friendly staff. Would recommend.

The hotel is in a very good location. It is close to downtown and shopping area, as well as to bus station. I had a room with Queen bed, excellent room space, & comfortable bed, I think I was at the very last room in the hotel (top floor, last room) which is probably why I had bad internet reception... We stayed here for a wedding at Harvard club. The location was nice - totally walkable to many different places. We had a great weekend traveling around Boston and the hotel served our purposes. It needed renovation, but we can't complain for the price. We don't spend much time the hotel room when we travel anyone, so aren't super picky.
