The hotel is close to everything however,it needs a lot of tender loving care.First up,the hotel smells old/dirty as you enter the facility. The carpet in the lobby looks old and dirty.Elevator looks fine.Comfort room in the lobby is ok but the toilet seat is wiggly. Plants in the hallway are clean and healthy. The room size is ok.The closet smells... More

Rooms are small though clean and cozy. Some have fantastic views. Staff is unbelievably pleasant. Location couldn't be better in Back Bay and both subway and train are a stone's throw. Breakfast is even included. The price is right.

This is an older hotel with carm. Its located on a quite side street in the Copley Square area of Boston. The hotel is clean, quite, comfortable and the staff is friendly. The best part about this hotel is its location.

I stayed there for 3 nights. I found my bed perfect, shower terrific, breakfast fine, staff more than accommodating. What it does need is some maintenance on paint, rugs, TVs, and handicap accessibility. A perfect location. I hope this hotel survives Boston and its quirks. A Boston resident for 70 years.

We booked this hotel for a sightseeing trip of Boston. We hadn't planned on spending a lot of time in the hotel itself, so we we looked for a place that was convenient, clean, and inexpensive. The Boston Common Hotel and Conference Center fit the bill. Just a block off Copley Plaza, we were able to get onto the T... More

Check in was interesting. The girl was totally unwelcoming. We asked a couple of questions and she had no desire to help us. Then we got to our room. Oh my. Frankly, the room was miserable. Aesthetically horrifying with a dirty, disgusting feel. Old, ugly beige walls. Linens from the 1940s, which felt dirty. The shower was so bad that... More

The hotel is in a great location, Very close to reach different parts of The city. From the breakfast room there is a great view, good breakfast and good quality. The rooms are big and price is not high.I go back to this hotel every time I go to Boston

This stately older building has seen better days, but it's still alive and well. The combination of location and price is the selling point. As for location, it's a block and a half from Copley Square and the subway (Green Line), and easy walking distance to restaurants and shopping, the Back Bay, and the Public Garden. As for price, it's... More

Nice hotel, centrally located near Copley Square and Back Bay Station. Rooms are a bit dated, though -- the bathroom didn't have counter space, just a small shelf under the mirror, for example. Continental breakfast included cereal, bagels, OJ, and probably a few things I've forgotten (but no hot items, since it's Continental).

We stayed at this hotel for two nights. It is very centrally placed and near the Back Bay railroad station. It is a very gracious old hotel, with lovely reception rooms, a good business centre, and with with all mod cons in the rooms. The room was very quiet and comfortable, and we had breakfast on a sunny veranda in... More
