Trying to add YouTube unde "disgusting Boston common hotel" Manager was non challant and would not give me a new room. I heard some very picky, high-maintenance women complaining that they didn't think the rooms were in very good condition after they checked in. They were leaving for a different hotel. Good luck finding any place that rivals this one in overall value and quality! I highly recommend the Boston Common for anyone wanting an enjoyable experience of Boston. The location... More

This a very good located hotel. Nevertheless, I have to make few comments about. The rooms are big enough but it need a renovation, the furniture are quite old. The bathroom need it urgently (we didn't take a shower), The cleanliness is on the limit for the floor and carpet although the bed clothes are right. Despite the comment I... More

The Boston Common Hotel has excellent location.I paid $99/day for 8 days. The building is spectacular but it needs new carpeting and the lobby smells moldy on ocassions. The lobby and common areas of the hotel are comfortable. However my room was outdated, dark and in need of repair. It badly needs to be painted; the paint was chipping off the... More

Just came back from a wonderful weekend in Boston. We found an amazing deal on Travel Zoo for $69 and the way it was worded we thought we were staying at the Back Bay Hotel. Lesson here: read the finer print. With all that said, the Boston Common Hotel and Conference center is a gem in terms of location!!!!!!!!!!!! The... More

We stayed at the Boston Common Hotel during the Back Bay Blackout in March of 2012. The lobby and common areas of the hotel are nice and comfortable, however our room was outdated and in need of repair. It badly needed painted. The paint was chipping off the walls and showed cracks and stains from years of non-maintenance. The sitting... More

Cannot complain at the price offered through Travel Zoo. We arrived to discover an enormous generator running full throttle outside. Unfortunately the hotel had received a power cut a few days prior which had yet to be fixed. Our room was on the top floor above the generator, so not much sleep for us, after walking all over Boston that... More

The lobby and the facade of this hotel don't look bad at all, but our room was grim. It reminded me of the dorm room at my under-funded state university. Yet at least the sheets on the bed in my dorm room actually fit and the comforter or duvet was not designed for a much smaller bed. For that matter,... More

I've been staying here for over 10 yrs, I also used to work here, ha! It doesn't look that much has changed, it needs some paint and new furniture and a tile scrub in the showers but you can't be the price. If you're not a princess, ha, I recommend it!

we stayed here for one night last saturday. Check in was a breeze and Claudette was very helpful. We parked right across the street and got a discount coupon for parking. Very close to train, mall and everything. The lobby and elevators look like they have been redone. Our room was clean but very outdated. We didnt mind as it... More
