Stayed at the Charlesmark for 1 night on a very cold January day. Ideally I would have given the Charlesmark a 3.5 (I never give a 5 unless something is absolutely perfect!). Reasons why it wasn’t 4 for me: •There was a constant hum from the generators on next doors roof. Although not terribly annoying, it was there (and in... More

When I booked a room at the Charlesmark for $129 per night, I was nervous. How could a new hotel in the heart of Boston's Back Bay be so affordable? After spending a night there, I am still asking that question ... for it was a clean, stylish hotel in a prime location with a room rate that is at... More

My experience at this small boutique hotel in the heart of Boston was outstanding. The rooms and common areas are very fashionable. Breakfast items are included in the room cost which is a bargain compared to similar Boston hotels. The staff was very helpful and provided a printout of nearby restaurants. Located near the subway and within short walking distance... More

We had such a terrible vacation in Boston, picking all the wrong things to see on their most crowded days. The one bright spot of our trip was the Charlesmark. It must cost half the price of the hotels just across Copley but we wouldn't know based on the quality of our stay. Our (little) room was SO comfortable and... More

My girlfriend and I just got back from two nights at the Charlesmark. I was looking to stay somewhere centrally located, relatively inexpensive, and above all, memorable. The Charlesmark delivered in all of these areas. First, as others have noted, the location can't be beat. From the Charlesmark, if you walk at a decent pace, it's 30 seconds to a... More

I stayed at the Charlesmark Hotel for three nights and first of all I must say that the location is great, very close to Newbury street, Copley Plaza, and close to Cheers and the Common. A tube station to travel to Quincy Market for example is only some meters away. Excellent location. My room was small and clean and the... More

We love small properties, this was no exception. Staff remembered our name, made us feel at home. It was a joy.

We stayed at the Charlesmark, Nov 10 - Nov 14, for 4 nights. We arrived at the hotel at 10:00 am from our flight, too early to check in. We were traveling with another couple,so we asked to have rooms close together on the top floor, after reading other reviews about street noise. We left our luggage and headed out... More
