If you want to go back in time when service and amenities meant something, then this is the place. I've stayed here several times over the years and I always enjoy it. A bit pricey but then again sometimes you need to pay to spoil yourself.

There probably doesn't need to be another review of the Ritz. It was very nice and friendly. Rooms are a good size for Boston. Good bathroom. Accommodating staff. Perfect location for the Common. Avery St. is a short little street, just fine.

Don't get me wrong, it is a nice hotel, well worth the Ritz-Carlton name but it is aging a little bit, I had two rooms and they where at the 12th floor club level, nice clean room but nothing to brag about. Checking was easy and fast even as it wast past midnight, the reception guy was helpful and did... More

What I did not know about this Ritz is it is a bit down a seedy street, close but not directly on the Boston Common. The old Ritz is now the Taj hotel, which does sit on a corner. I love the Lobby Bar in this restaurant - the fire and wines are great. The rooms are just ok. Nothing... More

I just returned from a stay at the Ritz-Carlton in Boston over Labor Day weekend. We were a family of 5 including our one year old son and had 2 rooms. This is a nice hotel, but not up to the Ritz-Carlton standard. We had requested an early check-in and were given both our rooms when we arrived, which was... More

Although some of the Ritz Carlton properties in large cities can be disappointing, the Boston Ritz experience was outstanding. Great service, great restaurant, beautiful room. Add an exceptional location, and you will certainly enjoy your stay. Not cheap---but worth it.

We stayed at the Ritz for 3 nights in August 2012. We enjoyed the amenities and service of their club floor during our stay. The room was standard at best (for a Ritz) due to the decor and view, but the bedding was luxurious and the bathroom was high end. Unfortunately, due to state fire laws, they can no longer... More

The guy checking us in was trying to multi-task, and he failed miserably. Hampton Inn does a better job than that. I requested a New York Times to be delivered in the morning (3-night stay). They failed each and every time. At Hampton Inn, you are paying a reasonable price, so this type of thing can be overlooked. At the... More

You would think for the price they charge for a room at the Ritz this place would be great, well I was was not overly impressed. The location on the other hand was perfect for someone who wants to just get out and explore Boston. This hotel is located in the Middle of town so it makes it very easy... More

Have stayed at many ritz's in my travels so for the sake of travelers time, this hotel is one of the best in Boston. Stay here if you can. Gave it a 3 for service because of one reason. Stayed here for 4 nights. And one night, my 15 and 19 year old children went out to the movie theater(conviniently... More
